time for us to close this series in Houston. I think Shaq will come back and dominate, after having the tough game in game 2.

We should be well rested and hopefully some of our injury problems will be resolved by this time we have between game 2 & 3.

I think Kobe will go off again.

I expect them to come at us hard to start out the game and especially try and get Shaq in foul trouble again. I think if we can sustain the initial charge, we should be fine in the end. We also must keep Jim Jackson in check. Slobber knocker again. But I think the Lakers will previal.

This will be the first real test for the Lakers, a road game against a tough defensive team. They must adjust to the refs and come out strong to take the crowd and the Rockets out of it. But if it's close, you know who will save the game for us. :man1:

I think this is the most important game in this serious,if we win,we will sweep Rockets....

just like jsm said,Shaq will come back and dominate, score over 25....and GP has to score more, that will help us to win easily!!

think about this:

Shaq 25 points
Kobe 20
GP 15
Mailman 12
Fish+Rush 18
others 10

hey,it is 100!!and I believe they will score more!!so....just play good D and score like this,Lakers will crush Rockets!!

Not just a must win but a must win by blowout. Kill their ego's and hopes in game 3 and they'll crumble in game 4. I hope Memphis can take the series to 6 or 7 games so we can get some rest b4 getting payback on the Spurs. We got Shaq so Tim who? :man9:

It's possible but the way both teams are playing right now the Grizzlies will be lucky to get a win. But they were able to make a run on the Spurs in the second game so who knows? OK, I'll get back on topic now. :man10: Go Lakers! Beat the Rockets at the Toyota Center on Friday and Sunday. :jam2:

Yes, it's frustrating, but I think the three days of rest will be enough for the Lakers to recuperate from their injuries. As long as nothing major happens, the team will be fine.

This game will answer a lot of questions about our capability to win it all this year. First playoff road game against a team that can play good D and that has nothing to lose anymore. I expect Shaq to be tremendous. I think he will get the ball early and often to put pressure on Yao. I expect Yao to get 2 or 3 fouls in the first quarter. It will be tough, it will be an hard fight but I am not worried because at the end the bright side always win :man1: 89-87 LA

I agree.

This game is a must win. This is the only game I will ever tag a "must-win" tag with unless it's a game 7 of course. This will test the Lakers. Their first road game in the playoffs. And don't think for a minute that the Toyota Center won't be rockin.

This is what playoffs is all about though -- performance under pressure. Let's see what these Lakers are made of!

Malone Knows: "Any time a team is down 2-0, you just lay it all on the line because you realize how important that third game is," Malone said. "They are going to throw everything they got at us because they have to. If it was 1-1, I don't know if the urgency would be there."

He's saying the same thing I'm saying -- Game 3 is a crucial game for both teams. We need to win this one.

Rockets Injury Report

Clarence Weatherspoon: According to the Houston Chronicle, Clarence Weatherspoon (calf) could miss Friday's Game 3 against the L.A. Lakers. "It's a frustrating thing," Weatherspoon said. "It's in a spot it easily flares up."
