Artest,Fisher and Blake are shooting a combined .385%(385-999). I don't know if there is another playoff bound team that can boast of such numbers.

I think we have too many players who defer to the bigger personalities on the team. Sasha and Farmar were not GREAT players, but they at least had strong personalities and they pursued the game offensively. Presently, this Lakers team has too many passive minds. Off the bench, Brown is the only guy who really looks to take charge, and that was awesome when he was shooting 50%, but since he's started to shoot so poorly, it winds up being a liability.

So often this year, when things aren't going well, we don't have anyone on the team willing to look to really take over outside of Kobe. Fisher has the right mentality but he's just not a 20+ point scorer. Bynum has the right mentality sometimes, but he just doesn't get the minutes. Other than that, nearly everyone on this team is kind of a B-role player, mentally speaking.

That's my theory at least. I don't think it is a personnel thing so much, I think that nearly any player we could add would face a similar issue. TO me, the problem stems from being 2x champions. Any new signee is just sort of in this 'happy to be here and get my shot with the 2x champs' mentality. We see it with artest, blake, barnes, and brown(when he's not chucking all day long) We've always seen it with Lamar, and that's just a difficult mentality to have. You want players to buy into the system, but you don't want them to be stupid drones.

Oh well. I still have a lot of faith in this team, but they are making it difficult.

For fans who actually rate barnes... get off it. His no better out on that court than Artest. For awhile now just having Kobe carry the team has been enough. Let's face it, he looks tired and his output this season has been down on previous years. We should be beating the Bobcats, not getting smashed.

Artest, Brown, Barnes and maybe even Bynum need to go. We waste Bynum's talents so why not cash in for a better PG or SF.

Well, I can't speak for shooting %s but the Heat, outside of the big three, basically don't even register statistically, scoring wise.

Based on your posts and your avatar, I can only conclude you're a Miami Heat fan who trolls in the Gameday threads after the Lakers lose. If that's the case, the mods should have banned you a few months ago.

EDIT: After searching your posts, I see that I'm wrong. That one post you made of Jack sporting PP on his shirt after we lost to THOSE GUYS still pisses me off though (and yes, I know it was just a joke).

I'm glad I changed the channel before halftime. Based on the final score of this game and what I saw, I have to conclude that the Lakers played pathetically against the Bobcats. I expected a loss based on the past meetings between the two teams, but getting blown out by 20 is inexcusable. I expect nothing less than a blowout win by our team in Cleveland after this debacle.
Thanks for the sig, Jr. Kobe.

Shooting?
Bench production?
PG production?
SF offense?
Consistent defense?
Coaching?
Hustle?
Rebounding?
Toughness?
Determination?

I don't know, I'm just guessing here.

hahahah yeah all of the above.

i swear it feels like the end of the world is near.

Thanks for making me laugh. An article that argues the length of the Bobcats gave the Lakers problems? Whoever wrote that must be smoking some pretty heavy stuff.
Thanks for the sig, Jr. Kobe.

Might sound preposterous at first, but at least something was going on at the rim/driving/anything in the paint.

His stats were pretty accurate, too.
