time is not a luxury this year.

Only Kobe looked good today. The rest looked rusty. Hopefully they shake it off as we go along.

LOL, we were playing Kobe, Bynum and Gasol heavy minutes in this meaningless preseason game :freak2:

On to our team, aren't we suppose to be stacked at SF? start Ebanks seriously and good game from Morris although I was expecting him to set the others a little more. And Luke gtfo.
As good as anybody, much much better than most.

Looked like Morris had his eyes up but the Clippers completely backed off him.. they were obviously respecting his speed and not respecting his shot which was falling. I think he did the right thing most of the time, he had a lot of room on most of his shots.

Bynum got the ball quite a few times early on but he didn't do anything efficient with it. It wasn't until later on that he actually drew fouls or actually made the basket.

ebanks, kapono, mcbob, morris and even murphy can definitely provide some value

mwp and luke need to go away. far away.

Normally I would agree, but this is a different type of season. There's 2 preseason games only, the regular season starts Sunday, these guys need to learn the system and they need to get in game shape, they have to play now, it's not a normal circumstance.

Kobe - Looks great. Glad to see him back.

Pau - Needs to stay on the floor. Otherwise he looks okay.

Bynum - If he can put up double-doubles even on his worst nights (15ppg, 12rpg, 2 blk), then we should be okay.

Blake - If he can play like he did in the 2nd half, he could be our starter.

McBob - He's a nice energy guy to bring off the bench.

Murphy - He didn't get enough minutes to judge, but this guy is a double-double guy when he's healthy. I have high hopes.

Morris - He can make shots. Can he create shots?

Ebanks - He looks like he worked on his offense this season. Nice to see.

Kapono - He can make shots. Doesn't look like he can do much else.

Barnes - Didn't do much tonight. But we know what he can do when he's healthy.

Walton - He should retire.

Artest - Made some nice defensive plays early, but didn't do much else.

You could also tell they weren't in it to win it. Kobe wasn't looking to score except for a few drives and pump fakes. Pau had a decent game, but I would like him to be more assertive in the post. Bynum did well grabbing rebounds, but his offense struggled early on although it did improve in the second half. Overall, I expect a more aggressive Lakers team come Sunday.

Good breakdown... I'll add..

Bynum left 6 points at the free throw line so even though he wasn't in much of a rhythm offensively he could have had a 20 point night.

McRoberts is energy and hustle.... something we've lacked since Turiaf and Sasha

Artest was very active on defense but his work on the offensive end was offensive....

Morris doesn't play with his head up and that won't work very well in this league as a point guard.

Ebanks needs to start IMO. Bring Barnes off the bench as a hustle part of the hustle second unit and let Ebanks diversify the starting offense.

Kobe's lift was a little better but I don't see a huge difference. Let's see if there is any improvement in his 40th minute in a close game. That is where his age is showing IMO.... I hope he can return to 2009 again...

Pau looked disinterested and going through the motions to me. I'm not sure his heart is in it. We need to get him back on the reservation to compete.

Blake played really well..... he looked like he did at the beginning of last season.

Walton needs to go.... that simple

Murphy had a horrendous ± of -17 in 9 minutes.... not his fault and it shows the lack of value in that stat, but I don't think I've ever seen one that bad that fast. He drilled that 3 with ease and I hope we see more of that.
