If LA wins a title this year, I fully expect next year to be the year where they come in and take 2 on the road.

This team is too mentally weak, frail, and not driven to do it.

They show up when they have to, which should be enough to get to the finals.

2-2 is a fine state to be in when you have homecourt. We have homecourt...I don't think you're going to see a repeat of this game on Wednesday.

One of my closest friends called me the "stan van gundy of laker fans"... which I thought was funny...

but I was like this in 2002 against the kings also.

I just think in ball its about domination. Size wins, talent wins. LA has both, so when I see them play series closer than they should, struggle to beat teams clearly inferior, I get upset.


as a side note: If you ask most doctors what they think of pathologists.... they'd say "smart" also...but I don't necessarily buy that.

I agree but am disappointed that players like Derek Fisher and Luke Walton, who have won championships with this team, don't have the mental toughness to close out a team.

The Lakers still have HCA and can win this series but it would be a lot easier if they played smart from the start.

I judge this team by road games. So I'm looking more at Friday, than Wednesday.

Phil's being interviewed on ESPN. I can believe he has the ability to laugh after the horrible game they just played.

Some things that prove your one of the biggest Lakers fans on the fourm:
1. Early Register Date
2. Getting pissed after a lose
3. Betting against you team so you will be happy win or lose
4. Actually paying $100 for a simple fourm bet.
The List goes on and on! Your really a great roll model

i just played a game of NBA2k9 and killed the nuggets by 18 just to make myself feel better. sasha was 4/7 for 12 points...talk about laughable.

Please don't misunderstand me. I was not saying that you were a band wagon fan. I was saying that we get the opposite of the people you mentioned that just come here to talk crap when the Lakers lose.

I don't understand how any of those makes you a better laker fan. That is just ludicrous.

And I completely don't understand how betting AGAINST your own team, who you are supposed to root for, is considered being a "better fan". And he didn't just bet 5 dollars or 10 dollars, he bet 100 dollars. He even admitted to it being a drunk decision, and people still agree with him. Just because a guy has a few more digits under his name on an internet message board doesn't make him a better fan, nor does it make his logic make more sense.

I prefer the (3 different msg laker boards that I post on, one of which was earlier than CL)
and staying up to listen to all the post game interviews, including laker post game show on KLAC, then going to lakers website for practice interviews...

and of course lakernation podcasts, ESPN radio 710 AM podcasts on the lakers, and downloading podcasts from KLAC regarding laker discussions...

Lakers will regroup. I think just like how Houston bounced back from that 40 point drubbing, LA will bounce back and win game 5. Game 6 is the one I want to watch closely. I want LA to win that game.

too bad NBA2k9 doesn't have the feature of updating player's real time players' attributes like the NBA Live '09 does. i just played the same game in NBA Live '09 with the up to date player stats and attributes, guess what Sasha s*cks in that game just like in real life.

The question was asked by one of the LA Times writers (maybe not TJ Simers) and Phil said fouls in the first quarter were different than in the fourth quarter. So his players that were getting bumped in the first, and then getting called for touch fouls late. And that had his players more on their heals instead of being aggressive.

Other question was regarding Luke Walton and the unequalness of the officiating. Luke got hit with an elbow and complained about it, and got a tech and then three consecutive fouls. That it was unfair, or unequal.

Last question was how Jones had an unsportsmanlike play and its the third time in this series that he's done it. The media was trying to bait more, by asking Phil to name them, but in reality that's the media's job to know.

Phil made three harsh statements about the officiating. Which I liked.

He also brought up the FT disparity, or at least that Denver shot 49 FT's...
