Lakers lucky to be up by 5, despite all the missed free throws. I want to see more from Pau, and we need to stop Sam Young. :man10:
Thanks for the sig, Jr. Kobe.

Better effort, but so-so execution. Ron continues to kill the flow on offense. Kobe works his butt off to get him a wide open look and he isn't ready to shoot the ball...skips it to Fish, who immediately bricks.

Decent half.

The refs need to get their s*** together and start using the whistle when Kobe gets hacked...but other than that, can't be too mad.

Hopefully we come out strong in the 3rd and put the Grizz away instead of giving them hope.

Kobe....we get the picture. You don't respect Sam Young. Maybe next half, challenge a shot or two.

Maybe in the fourth quarter....but that's just how he plays it on D.

Either that or Ron takes a bad shot as the clock is winding down. :man5:

I think Kobe doesn't want to risk foul trouble....so he plays soft on D and doesn't challenge. If he gets no calls on drives to the hoop, I'm sure the refs would be happy to slap him with some fouls on the other end. In that regard, a low risk defensive tack makes sense...at least until later into the game.

I don't have a problem with him not risking fouls on drives or something but he's straight up turning to box out as soon as he sees his man gather himself to shoot, even if he's a foot away. Sometimes it's funny but when the guy is actually hitting shots, maybe challenge the jumpers at least.

You're right in this regard, but it is what it is. He doesn't feel bothered to lock down some no-name scrub. Yeah, it's disrespect, and it isn't great when that very scrub has nicked us for 14 pts.

This is a massacre right now. What a nice offensive flow. The ball moves, everyone touches it, guys not thinking too much about the 3, just taking shots in rhythm. That's how you play.
