In close games our offense is nothing but Kobe iso...that has to change. Dallas runs their offense and gets Dirk shots in his spot. We get triple covered fade aways....

Um, the Lakers losing a 4th game in the series? Seriously how long have we watched this team, how many times have we seen them come from behind, in games and in series. Get a grip, one game doesn't mean a series is over, if it did we'd have lost to the Hornets, all this means is we have to win one in Dallas now.

Yeah I'm sure people were saying that in 02-03 as well. It happens to all teams, things don't go well forever. This team has the signs written all over it, losing HCA after 1 game two series in a row doesn't say anything good at all.

BTW some of you need to ditch the arrogance and lose the mentality that we're unbeatable in a 7 game series. So far from the truth it's hilarious.

I agree. They get what they deserve because they didn't continue to play hard with a lead. But I also think it will wake them up and they'll take one in Dallas. I think they take games 2 and 3, losing 4, winning 5 and 6.

Pau lost the game for us at the end. Unbelievable.

And the blew a 16 point lead. Why do the Lakers have trouble building leads on opponents?

I disagree, the Mavericks can beat the Lakers. They have the inside presence to slow down Gasol and Bynum, they have the shooters to burn the Lakers slow rotations, and they have the clutch player in Dirk to lead them in crunch time. Dallas has also shown they are not mentally weak, and the Lakers will need to play 100% every game from here on out to win this series.

I disagree the lakers are their own enemy. If they play hard for the entire game they win. As simple as that. They could win the next 4 games if they wanted to. It's all up to them and how they want to treat these leads.

Poor execution in the 3rd quarter is what killed us. We can't be jacking up jumpers. That leads to long rebounds and easy transition baskets for the Mavs.

This team is no different in May than they were in january. They don't play with 48 minutes of fire unless it is a back-against-the wall game. Pathetic.

It does happen, but I'm not going to say it's happening now after one game. And I have no arrogance when it comes to this team, they are absolutely beatable, I just don't give up on them after one game, I have some faith that they can overcome stuff, that's not arrogance, it's just giving them the benefit of the doubt because they've done it before. And yeah, the team in 02/03 lost, but that was an old tired team with crappy role players going for 4 in a row. This team is going for 3 in a row, I expect us to lose NEXT year from exhaustion, not this year, though we have gone to 3 Finals in a row so you could very well be right.

I still think the Lakers do end up winning the series, but I do believe the Mavericks have a very good chance of taking this series based on their poise and talent.

The series will probably be tied 2-2 going into Game 5, and it will be hard to predict who wins that one.

You are right this time, we got in trouble going away from our bigs.

Defense was okay, could have been better.

Refs basically giving the Mavs the win off a dubious foul call was terrible. I can't stand game winning free throws.

Bookie action... Lakers got to close and lost... they are definitely shaving points and the only remedy is to score big but with pathetic shooting you get what you deserve...

Well, I guess Tyson Chandler put to rest who the best center is in this series.

We have no size adavantage against this team and they've got a ton of scorers. Despite everyone wanting the front office to add a perimeter threat at the deadline, it did not happen. The Mavs have put together a complete, well-balanced squad. We'll see how it plays out.

Nowitzki scores whenever he wants to. That's a problem.

If we have an advantage, it's our head coach. He's going to have to pull a rabbit out of his hat in this series.
