We could afford to lose game 1 vs the Hornets, but I'd really prefer to see us come out and get a win in game 1 this time.

Lakers will not saunter into Game 1 like they did with Nawlins. They have been serious in the last two games. It won't change on Monday. I think it will be a close win.

Need to take care of business and defend homecourt in games 1 and 2.... get it done and get it done early..... we swept Utah in the semi-finals last time and I see no reason why we can't do that to the Mavs, I believe we take this series in 5

Win and stay healthy. We have HCA, so let's not give it away again.
Thanks for the sig, Jr. Kobe.

Tacos on Monday. Dallas just finished a tough series and had to finish it on the road. Now they have to go home, regroup and travel to a great southern California. They will need to regroup, not super fast, but pretty fast. I see game one being similar to the game 6 that just finished up with the Lakers pounding the ball inside.

90 - 102
Buckle up! This off season is going to be some ride...

Yeah I think this is Kobe's series, he loves playing the Mavas because they rarely if ever play d. I look for him to average 30+ for the series.

As for this game, I think the Lakers take care of business and win 105-91.
If it doesn't matter who wins then why do they keep score?

I like the Lakers to take game 1. I think after losing Game 1 to NOLA that got the Lakers attention and they were focused for the rest of that series plus it looks like Pau was finally coming around towards the end of that series against the Hornets.

Yea Pau isn't the strongest p-forward but there was a lot more to his slow play than not being aggressive.. I don't think there is any doubt he was sick. Sinus/respiratory illness sucks and really takes a lot of a big guy like that.

I really look for his game to come together.. if anything Bynum will have a harder time in this series than Kobe/Pau have.

Lakers should come out strong and take game 1 at home. They won't let what happened against NOLA happen here against the mavs.

The happiest Laker in the room right now has to be Pau - no more Carl Landry to push him around anymore. Pau better bring it....no excuses. Shouldn't be sick either. Almost four full days of rest. He'll me guarded by Dirk. I can't dream up an excuse for him. We need a 24/15 type game from him today.

Expect a big game from Kobe....but we all know he'll bring it. On defense, he needs to stick to Kidd near the three point line...none of this roaming crap. He won't even have to work that hard to guard Kidd....just keep a body on him so he's not wide open behind the arc.

Also need Drew to anchor and board, Ron to be Ron as we've seen him this playoffs, Lamar to be half decent, and the Killer Bs to come in and play solid.

Don't just try to beat them, beat them so that they are demoralized. Dallas typically stinks it big at Staples, and their one game this season at Staples was a horrible blowout, their worst loss of the season (by 28 points). We need to beat them the same way. Only earlier....none of this, they are still hanging around in the third quarter crap.

Get a Game 1 win, and everyone starts talking about the Phil Jackson series record when he's up 1-0.

Lakers need to win this game one no matter what... Phil is undefeated when winning the first game. Put that together with the Lakers ability to close game 6 on the road and there is xclnt chance of winning series. If not and they are dragging their butts and lose they open the door to the chamber of horrors and I don't want to go down that road again... someone might get hurt...

Dirk > Kobe
Dirk is in his prime, and Kobe is not.

Charles Barkley for TNT has become like Jon Barry for ESPN, pure, unabashed, anti-Lakers bias. Is it a requirement for major network analysts to have a token Lakers hater?
