Trust me: five minutes of pure defense and we can win this game. Too bad we are not able to defend...

You know I went to watch them in Sac and their deffense was not impressive at all. I couldnt believe how many open shots they give up, they rotate very poorly.

Other than Kobe these guys couldn't give a crap.

i know lefty is blaming the d, and i'm sure they'll say that in the press, but the lakers' offense has been the problem all season long, and it was again tonight.

it's a long season, though. if last year taught me anything, it was not to freak out over stuff happening in december. i didn't think the lakers could win a title heading into the playoffs last year, but they got it together.

so they're proven. what some of these losses are showing is that they're thin...which we already knew. boston and la are the two best teams in the league, and if either team loses any of its top five, they probably can't win the whole enchilada.

Trying to make up for the deficit of the two beat-downs they took back in LA.

Guess Leftymo was right in the 2nd qtr
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

We could have won this game with 5 minutes of defense _anywhere_ within the 48. Oh well. At least the bench and reserves got to play a lot of minutes.

whoa...putting the starters back in when you're up 19 with 4 minutes to play and the other team has already called off the dogs? these guys are in trouble next time these teams play. and if i were the lakers role players, i'd be getting EXTREMELY rough with nash and amare.

Suns could score 130+ in this game
Michael Jordan : "My Chicago team are the all-time greatest"
Magic Johnson : "Put me with Kareem, James Worthy, Cooper and Byron Scott, and we'd dominate your Bulls team"
