How is Howard shooting such a low % when the vast majority of his shots are within 7-8 feet? I think he's 4/16 so far..
His FG% for the season is very unimpressive too

I know, I was thinking more like in this recent stretch we've been winning. He's looking better, but he isn't shooting all that great.
"Elite" players with that amount of dunks and taking an extremely high portion of their shots in the paint should shoot 60%+ from the field, and he's been shooting around 53-54 in this stretch, right?
It's just a reflection of his poor touch around the rim. His hook shots are quite terrible.

edit: his turnovers are a problem too
