Dangerous game coming off the back to back. Can't afford to drop this one if we want to build momentum.

Mike Trudell ‏@LakersReporter
Suns have only 1 starter in place since the last time they played LAL (Goran Dragic). Morris twins, Jermaine O'Neal, Wes Johnson all in.

A loss is probable but we can afford it with the extra win at Pacers ...

we never win both games of b2bs in 13 tries this season .

6-8 in 1st games
5-8 in 2nd games

Lakers have never swept a b2b this season. They are like 0-13 or so...

I'm expecting a loss.

Nash dominates, Dwight shoots well... Or maybe the reverse, either way, Lakers win! :jam2:

I'm expecting a loss.

I had a feeling we'd never won two in a row on back to backs this season.

I am also somewhat expecting a loss, but this team has been playing much better as of late. Let's see if the team can rally and keep pushing forward without Kobe and Pau!

QUICK PREVIEW
Lakers (36-32) at Suns (22-45)
10:00 PM EST

LAKERS
Won last 2
13-2 at home
19-21 vs. West

PROBABLE STARTERS
Steve Nash 12.6 points, 6.8 assists, 2.8 rebounds
Jodie Meeks 7.9 points, 0.7 assists, 2.0 rebounds
Metta World Peace 12.9 points, 1.5 assists, 5.2 rebounds
Earl Clark 8.0 points, 1.2 assists, 6.1 rebounds
Dwight Howard 16.4 points, 1.4 assists, 12.5 rebounds

SUNS
Lost last 4
7-28 at home
14-26 vs. the West

PROBABLE STARTERS
Goran Dragic 14.1 points, 6.9 assists, 2.9 rebounds
Wes Johnson 5.4 points, 0.4 assists, 2.1 rebounds
Marcus Morris 8.3 points, 0.6 assists, 2.8 rebounds
Markieff Morris 7.7 points, 1.2 assists, 4.4 rebounds
Jermaine O'Neal 8.0 points, 0.8 assists, 5.3 rebounds

PREDICTION
The Lakers have taken two of three against Phoenix this year, to ensure at least a split of the season series. The Lakers will be without Kobe, who has dominated the Suns. But they will still have Howard (averaging 19/15 vs. Suns) and the supporting cast. Phoenix has been able to force TOs and keep themselves in games.

The Lakers have shown that they can beat both good and bad teams without Kobe, so although this is the second night of a back to back for LA I expect a win. Keep an eye on Steve Nash, who hasn't had much individual success against his former team, and Michael Beasley off the pine for Phoenix.

Lakers 101

This should really be a W. Gortat is not playing, so I expect us to pound the ball inside.

Man, those Phoenix jerseys are beautiful. I wish we'd go back and wear those retro gold jerseys like we did against the Knicks, I think two seasons ago.
