hopefully you are right. I really hope we somehow pull one out. We haven't been that much worse than the Thunder except for the choke job in game 2 and choke job 2.0 in game 4.

But your feelings aren't going to make us calm right now. Nerve-wrecking game for sure unless the blow out settles in early.

It has been one of the craziest seasons in NBA history...why not add a little crazy to it in the next 3 games :man12:

Mike Brown: "They're grabbing, they're holding, which is playoff basketball. We got to grab and hold back. They're setting illegal screens, we got to set illegal screens. Because, stuff is not going to be called. I think both teams need to do that, as opposed to just them doing it all the time and us doing it some of the time."

Not giving up on this team. As fans we get mad and bust the players chops until no end when they give up on the team. Same standard should be held if you are going to root for the team and not give up on them, even if they have a long dark hole to climb out of.

So what the hell....Go Lakers. :jam2:

I have to admit that in some ways, the Lakers exceeded my expectations in this series. Yes, I figured they might win a game or two, but I didn't expect them to control pace and compete the way they have. Despite being 3-1, this series has a completely different feel than the Dallas one. It's frustrating because I really had the sense after Game 3 that the Lakers could win it, when prior to the series I didn't give them much of a shot at all. "Coulda shoulda woulda" doesn't get it done, but this series SHOULD be 3-1 or at least 2-2. For a team that had performed well in close games all year, it was very uncharacteristic to collapse the way they did in Games 2 and 4. It was especially uncharacteristic of Kobe Bryant (who, by the way, has played a nice series other than the choke jobs).

Obviously, winning the series is very improbable at this point, and an embarrassing beat-down may be imminent. But I never count the Lakers out. A mere two points separate these teams since Game 1. Show some heart Lakers!

YES.
I expect us to come out and sorta do something like this:

Just don't pack it in like last year vs the Mavs or in '08 vs THEM... Keep us in the game and have a chance at the end... Working at the bar, but I'll have a few TV's turned to the game (have to fight off the locals for the Mariner game, but with 8 TV's in the joint I'll be ok)...

Hope for a good game ... or an "early" blowout. Staying up all night for me to see us choke in crunch time is no fun :disagree:

We know Kobe won't give up..... and I don't think Bynum will either. MWP and Barnes have no quit in them and I believe Pau will come to play as well...... If we can weather the first 5 minutes we will have a chance to win it IMO...... Again, it will be up to the role players and lets hope we don't abandon what works....

This will be truly painful to watch. Expect a total let down in the 2nd half. I hope Brown is fired and the whole bunch are shipped off. Hopefully Kobe will want to hang around. He may surprise everyone and retire. No other team wants him that is for certain. He doesn't have it in him to go another season with no consistent support from the team.

This game is very winnable. Just control the pace and play a full 48 minutes of basketball (no more epic choking please). Let's GO! :jam2:

Hopefully we don't get clowned like we did last year against Dallas, or Boston in 2008, or Phoenix in 2006. Just play hard and if we lose I can live with it. If we do get clowned please no classless cheap shots that end up getting you suspended like the Bynum/Barea incident. If the game is over by the end of the 3rd quarter just send MWP and Bynum to the locker room.

Fisher must be LOVING this.
