I haven't seen the game yet, but I'm not concerned with the outcome, it's pre-season. I see Caracter got 9 rebounds though, not bad.

I'm actually happy for Kurt Rambis. I realize that this is a preseason game with Minny going all out against LA's 3rd stringers and their camp invites but it looks like the Minnesota players have bought in and they seemed to gel quite well out there. Maybe this year it won't be "Kobe and the Lakers vs. Kurt Rambis and the Timberwolves" whenever these two meet at Staples. I know the guy was a long time Laker but it's kind of embarrassing to have your coach be the face of your franchise whenever they meet in LA. lol.

As far as LA is concerned, I'll have to watch the game in full tonight but it looks like three point shooting and inconsistency at the FT line continue to be a couple of things the Lakers should be working on. 28.6 3P% on 4-14 attempts and 54.5% FT% on 18-33 attempts. Nasty.

wolves were on fire from the perimeter from the opening tap. lakers were sort of rudderless all night. gasol was going through the motions, kobe was making an appearance for pr reasons, it was a mail-in.

caracter got owned by darko on back to back plays, showing he has a ton of work to do before he's a legit post player on either end. but he was tenacious on the boards, which is a great thing. i thought blake and barnes both looked like they will fit in just fine with the rest of the team. both move pretty well off the ball and knock down open shots. both play solid d. good additions. theo looked like a good spot duty guy, too.

What the F? We got blown out by the T-Wolves? Kobe was scoreless? I guess Green18 and HeatOwnFakers were right. We're done. Kobe's done. There's no way we can 3 peat if Minny is blowing us out like this. Time to rebuild and trade all our key guys.

I know its just preseason, muchless the first game of the preseason, but I was really hoping for a W. For so much hype about this bench, I didn't expect a spanking by the T-Wolves. I know better though; I am just saying.

I thought Barnes looked extremely good out there: hustling, rebounding, finishing in transition and playing good D. He's fit and really gets out there. Blake is going to be a really valuable addition - some really nice plays and good ball movement, plus a nice shot or two. Lamar is in the best basketball shape I've seen in ages. Ratliff had some nice play. Gasol really phoned it in tonight/today - he looked pretty gassed. Probably feeling the jet lag. I look for him to bring it against Barcelona though. Lakers perimeter D was kinda lousy today.

Yeah they just kinda played mostly with the bench, and played all star game defense. No particular rotations. I was hoping for a W, but oh well

Anyone else think Blake's shooting stroke maybe more pure than Sasha's? No doubt more dependable. Sasha "on fire" in camp....bricks in game....same ole same ole. Still hoping for return of the Machine one more season. Yeah and whoever said Ebanks is "long".....got that right.....!!
