Well it will either be Detroit or Indiana.

To me, I feel that series going to seven. Let's hope so; more rest for the Lakers!

Actually, there will be no more rest for the Lakers. The Finals start on Sunday reguardless if there is a game 7. I seriously want Detroit to make it, because Indiana just bores the HELL out of me. Detroit is pretty dope and would be a better match-up. Don't overlook either of these teams though! Many fans think the ring is back in L.A. automatically. Not quite, there are still four more games to be won and don't think the East representative will just lay down and hand it to us. It will be a battle, but the degree of difficulty is questionable. I really don't know how much of a battle either of these teams will put up, but it will be the final test, and then the glory. I can't wait for this series man, this is going to be great. Come on Detoit! Close out the Pacers tonight! Shaq and Malone will bring it to the Wallace's.
I look for the Lakers to beat whoever it is in 5, and Kobe will be MVP. That would be great.

I think the Lakers will win this game regardless of who their opponent is. I want the Lakers to get a blowout and send a message to the East that they are no match for the West. :jam2:

Just saw on t.v. that the Pistons are the Eastern Conference Champs so that means the Lakers are going to have home court. The Lakers in the playoffs are prefect at home so they are most likely going to win this game. Lakers know that it's important to get all the home games so they're not going to blow it. All we need is for the bench to step up, feed the ball in to Shaq and for refs to stop making stupid calls. If all this happens, we will win it! :jam2:

IMO, there will be no more blow outs. These are the Finals. I expect game 1 to be a little weird to start out, cause game 1's are usually "feel out" games. And the Pistons like to slow the game down practically to a stand still. But as the game wears on, we will take over and win.

Oh I forgot to add one thing. Game 1 is extremely important to us. Cause just remember, what is PJ's record when he wins a game 1 in a series? Its like 18-0 or something. But I totally expect us to win, cause PJ always stresses the importance of game 1s.

Not easy on offense against Pistons!!Two Wallaces in the paint,Prince,Hamiton and Billups are also good on D,although we can win,we need more focus on the game!!And,Mailman and GP will not allow Piston to win, they will do their BEST to help Lakers win game!!I wanna see sweep!!so,Lakers,be concetrate in the game!!watch their D!!

GO LAKERS!!CHAMPION LAKERS!!

My worry for the Pistons is that despite of their great D, they have trouble putting up points on the board at times... that's why they win low-scoring games. And mostly, it's been Rip that's been doing damage on the offense. The Lakers have a bunch of defenders that can shut him down... so if that happens, where are the Pistons gonna look for points? Billups maybe, Tayshaun, been's inconsistent in the playoffs so far. Ben doesn't put up much points, neither will Rasheed, especially against Shaq and Malone.

I don't think they can play D even as good as Rockets, and Spurs' D is the real thing when they turn it on.

I smell blowout in game 1

Now that we know the Pistons will be our opponents, I can be a little more specific. Kobe will shine in this series because Rip won't be able to stop him. Shaq will get his and still dominate but he'll be challenged by Detroit's big men. Unless Shaq performs exceptionally well Kobe will probably be the playoff MVP this year. As long as Karl, GP, and the role players step up, it'll be an easy Finals even against a great defensive team like the Pistons because their offense, well, it sucks. :man10: Lakers in 4 or 5, or 6 if they REALLY slack off.
