The Lakers give me the classic scare, classic if anything...my god my heart was literally trying to wriggle out of my chest when they were down by like 8 in the 4th quarter, and then they made that miraculous run--the Lakers finally got motivated. The Lakers just had an unforgettable 3rd and 4th quarter, until Kobe hit that miraculous shot. Something tells me that if Kobe tries he'll always make that shot, he's that good, God is really a Lakers fan. And then the Lakers got more motivated, and they held the Pistons to 2, -2- Points in OT...and they started scoring at will....can you imagine how this Laker team plays when they are so motivated...compared to when they are lazy and ish...my god, it's so unbelievable...if the Lakers play like that, they'll definitely win the series, but it's hard for them to play like that, to keep that mental focus, edge and killer instinct...
Another comment: Luke Walton. The kid is crazy, he was the 1st rookie to get 8+ assists in the finals after Magic, I believe...he's got great vision plus great intelligence to boot. 8 assists and 7 points, plus that emphasis lob to Shaq that put away the game...he's a 1st class rookie that came into use in this game, we were hot when Luke was in the game but when Phil took him out in the 3rd quarter the Pistons made their move.
Now with all of that said and having read a Ric Bucher article about that George should score more, I think the momentum all goes to the Lakers...all because of the way that they ended the game. I think they scared the hell out of the Pistons and that the Lakers, if they keep this ferocious, bloody, mad-boiling energy up, then they will steal one at Auburn Hills. After seeing this killer mentality of the Lakers, plus the emergence of Luke and Kareem, all aroused, I believe we can win even after a careless end for us.
