Did You Know?

Phil Jackson has never been down 1-2 in a Final series in his career? He has won nine NBA Finals series in nine appearances.

MUST WIN

Adjustments must be made, Russell must play, Fisher must learn his role on the team, Shaq must dominate, we must find a way to get Kobe shots, we must get Payton involved, we must find a way for Luke to help out without being beat up by Ben and Williamson.

What jsm said. The Lakers have faced adversity all season long and play much better when their backs are against the wall, so I believe they'll win this game. They might even get momentum from this game and win 3 straight like they won 4 straight against the Spurs. This is far from over, the Pistons will lose in 6 or 7. :jam2:

This year has been a rollercoaster ride for everybody. Looks like even Phil has to do it the hard way! :man12:

Must win no doubt. Pistons are confident they can beat us again. We def. need to match their energy and that has to start with Shaq. Shaq has to be dominant on both sides.
Gotta get some damn rebounds and rotate on the def. end and help out on the weak side. Gotta contest every shot! Kobe has to come back with a vengeance...they might have stopped him in game three. But this guy loves challenges...he knows how do adjust.

Gooo Lakers!!! :jam2:

must win! But in order to get that win, we need two things:

1. Drop the triangle
2. For f**'s sakes Phil, use Byron Russell!!!!

Another player that must show up is Fisher. I don't know what his problem is, but he is pathetic, he makes Payton look like a great player out there. It doesn't look like Fisher is hurting much anymore, since his shot is back, but he is playing horrendously. Game 3 was one of the worst games I have seen him play this year. He was rushing and forcing everything. He drove into traffic and would try to shoot, instead of passing it off. He tried to dunk on Okur. I don't know what he was thinking, but I don't like that aggressive Fisher one bit.

All I have to say is:

MUST WIN

One more thing, if you don't believe in this team (and your a Laker fan) you don't belong on this board.
What do you get when you fall in love? You only get lies and pain and sorrow.

The last 9 teams to win game 3 when tied 1-1 have won the NBA Finals.

So we have more records to break. But it's nothing we can't do.

Yes, Fish looked more like a rookie than a veteran. He needs to get back to what he does best: draw charges, play defense, and shoot only when he's wide open or pass the ball when he's not. He should only go to the rim if there's an opening.

We need to establish Shaq early, if he goes off in the 1st quarter, then they will start flocking to him when he gets the ball, which will allow Kobe, Payton, and George to get open looks.

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

Shaq needs to get the ball more, get a lot more rebounds, and help out on the pick-and-roll. He's got to dominate, no one on the Pistons can guard him.

I agree. One problem is when Shaq did get the ball, he got horrible position, most of the passes were very bad. They gave it to his wrong hand, where Big Ben was ready to steal it or they gave it to him out of position, so he had to force a jump hook and couldn't back down. That is something they have to work on. I suggest have Luke on the court for every minute Shaq is, that way he is ensured to get a good pass.
