Yeah they deserve it, but they were also very lucky with the injuries of the teams they played. To win championships you have to be good and a little lucky, and it was the case this time around.

I'm not referring to Dirk. I meant Webber. With a healthy Webber, the Kings would have taken it very easy this year.

I agree that the mavs would have lost that one.But thats how the ball rolls sometimes.I dont know about the Kings would have beaten the spursthing though.I admit that would be one hell of a series, but I dont think that they would have beat the spurs. All this season the kings had trouble matching up and winning games against the spurs.Would have been a great series though but I dont think the kings could have pulled it off.

I know that the Kings, didn't play well with the Spurs in the regular season, but they were getting hot in the postseason. And the regular season is just the regular season. Its a totally different element if you only focus on one team. Sac town would have taken the Spurs. They were rolling, until Webber got hurt. A Webber-less Sac town still took the Mavs to 7.

Also, its all about the match-up. As you can see the Nets are hanging on because they match up well with the Spurs. Having multiple options disrupts the Spurs. The Kings can score at will and can play terrific D. I think people are giving too much credit to the Spurs right now, for beating the Lakers. I'll admit it, the Lakers would have gotten beat bad by the Kings this year with a healthyWebber.

From the looks of these Finals, the Kings would have killed the Spurs.

But I wish somthin else came out of the east.I realy some how do not like the nets.I think its becuase of J.Kidd and his family.Dont get me wrong I love his game he plays with heart. But I dont know I just dont like him.As for his family though....His wife I cant stand.Shes always on tv tryin to show off that ugly little kid with the watermellon head.I think she loves to be in the limelight. And then there is J.Richardson I dont like always having this attitude like he is god and all.I dont like players that think there all that and then some. And for to top it all off.....Kenyon Martin. He has mad game though ill give him that. But he always trys to be a bad [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.].Most of the time he looks stupid when hes tryin to show off.Like in game 4 I think Duncan tried to help him up being a good sport,Kenyon Martin shook Duncan off him violently and said when he got up,"get your hands off me [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.]!"That was enough for me!

Teams need to learn how to not depend on key players. So what if we lost Fox, the Kings lost Webber, and the Mavs lost Dirk, there's other players on the team. The main reason why they all lost is because the other players weren't up for the challenge of stepping up. And the opposition took advantage of the situation, it's as clear as that... But it doesn't make the Spurs any less of a team for doin so, even if I hate them that much to say so, u know?

L-Gyrl,

Losing Webber is like losing Shaq and Kobe for the Lakers, losing Duncan for the Spurs, or losing Kidd for the Nets. You're team is never the same without them.

Even though I dont like the Lakers I just gota say yall have one hell of a team. What I love about Kobe is how he fights when he is knocked down.He comes back and proves people wrong.I love his game I just dont like him,no offence!I love Shaq becuase he just so [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.] funny. The guy is no doubt a dominent player but he just needs to get back in shape.People like Duncan are right behind him at his heals for MDP.The big guy needs to hurry up and get in shape!

See I know that Webber is onw of the biggest players for the Kings, but that's what happens when he is down and out... They lose... It's a sad thing to say, cuz I know if Shaq and Kobe are down, we'll prolly be in the same boat, but like I said, they aren't the entire team... They are aour superstars, what our team is revolved around, but they aren't the whole team. That's why it's so important for teams to play when they're down and fight their way out injuries.

Its ok to fight your way out of injuries during the regular season, but during the playoffs its not the same. If one of your key guys are hurt, then you're basically done.

Wow, an active 2003 playoff thread for a change :man10:

Kobe Stopper, How do you not like the Nets? If you don't like Kidd, then how could you possibly like the Spurs? I mean seriously, I don't get that lol...

What is STOPPER'S favorite team anyway??????

He can't be a Kings fan, because he basically disagreed with me about the Kings being the favorite to win it this year.

I guess he's bored with the other Laker haters out there, since the Lakers are not playing anymore.
