Fisher is finally finding his stroke, at just the right time too. I just hope he can maintain consistency because Malone, Bryant, and O'Neal might be out another week or two so we need all the help we can get. I hope we win by seven so I can climb up on the good call game :mhihi:

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

The one thing that has blown games for us this year is defense. However, that defense in the last 14 seconds or whatever it was, was superb!

Absolutly wonderful game for everybody. D-Fish is my boy!!!!!

Well... maybe a bit before June :man10:

I don't know if we'd make the playoffs if we lost them until June-- anyway it's good news Kobe and Shaq will be back soon. I'm glad they'll be able to play in the All-Star game.

Heh, maybe I was just being a little bit sarcastic. But yes, I'm very happy that they will be able to play in the All-Star Game too :jam2:

FabFourLakers wrote:For some reason...i think we are gonna win this game...I think all tha guys that did horrible yesterday (GEORGE, SLAVA, COOK) will all come back with great games...Payton will bring his own...maybe get about 14 pts and 8 assists, and Rush will feed off of his career game...

I think tha only trouble we'll have is ELTON BRAND

if we stop him...we win

95-91

yea i think i was pretty close...and i was right about tha lakers coming back and winning this game...man what a superb effort by tha young guys...sampson slava and cook are gonna benefit MOST from their playing time...yea kareem rush had an off night but still hit big 3's to extend our lead and build momentum...10 pts on 4-11...man PAYTON finally has a big game in terms of all around game...15 pts 15 assists and 6 rebounds...thats tha payton we've been waiting for...he definetly was tha leader out there tonight...FISHER played great...hit some huge shots for us...george played OK once again i thot he'd have a better game and i thot when he had that wide open layup and got blocked by maggette that he blew tha game for us....SLAVA is tha man...

u know what i liked about this game? i put elton brand on my fantasy team tonight cuz i KNEW he'd kill us...but damn 35 and 20? i wonder if he'd do tha same to us if we had malone and shaq...if ur tha clippers u gotta be really kickin ur selves to lose to a VERY shorthanded lakers(without shaq, kobe, malone, fox AND grant)...i mean that is embarrassing even tho they didnt have simmons or q-rich...that is NO WHERE NEAR equivalent to tha players we have lost to injuries/other...

what an inspiring win tonight...man if we can try to win tha next game and maybe one outta tha 3 road games we have...we could be in good shape for january despite all tha injuries...if we can finish january under 15 losses that would be very good for us...and then finish off our season with maybe 5-6 losses and tha rest will be W's! we gotta keep up with tha kings, and we're ahead of tha spurs now and jus a half game behind minny! GO LAKERS!

Yeah, the defense was the big factor here tonight. It's almost like we're playing more concentrated defense since we are undermanned right now. Great win for us.

i know this is gonna sound crazy...but we play BETTER defense without shaq in tha lineup....bcuz we can actually defend tha pick and rolls! i think we played tha best defense we could on tha clippers tonight being as shorthanded as we were...and we played with some urgency down tha stretch...i mean russell's layup that nearly got blocked by brand was pure heart! i mean he almost fell and he jus sort of threw it up and it bounced in! Jamal Sampson played with alot of confidence tonight...i was hoping he'd get a double double...Slava..man i keep forgettin that we have Karl Malone still! We're pretty deep at tha PF position....and that SF position will get deeper when we get fox back...and rush is still in a groove...man im gettin used to seeing tha future of tha lakers out there and this is great for them! they are gettin big wins right now and hopefully we can beat tha suns on monday!
