Orlando just came in here the other night, threw a three point barrage at the Jizz, were up 18, and somehow managed to lose by nine. Utah's homecourt advantage is unprecedented really.

we're not orlando. we beat orlando pretty handily last year.

utah is good at home but at "THE" best team, we shoudln't be looking like a mediocre team even with a hurt Kobe.

No we didn't. We played them 7 times last year. We went 4-3, and 2 of the 4 wins were won handily.

was there ever a doubt that we would really lose to orlando... we match up with them well enough.

my god...7-24 for Kobe....

2-20 on three pointers for the Lakers...

you will not win in Utah that way.

Really? We just need to worry about the best record in the West. But it's still early in the season, Boston will lose, and so will we.

I know, it's just that I have some friends who are Celtic fans and they'll bring up this irrelevant issue.

It's okay. I didn't think we'd win this one. It would've been nice to see our two 7 footers get more touches, but oh well.
“This contract with Joel Anthony is a testament to the man who is second to none; who has worked hard and deserved this,” said Heat President Pat Riley. “We felt that what he has done over the last couple of years in developing his game, his body and his knowledge warrants this reward. If other NBA non-drafted free agents want a prototype to follow, Joel Anthony is that man."

What are you talking about? Plenty of people are whining in this thread including myself. But there's no need for ridiculous statements.

Kobe shouldn't have played at all... and they needed to pound the inside then work out. They did it the 1st quarter and didn't do it for the last 3 quarters. Pathetic performance actually.

LOL oh. Well we really should've had a chance to win, but Kobe with a broken finger/sick, the refs and their calls (and lack of calls), Drew and Pau aren't getting the ball more...etc...

Now I'm waiting for the first "fan" to come out and blame Kobe for this loss because he "hurt us" by trying to play.

No biggie. Phil now has something to work on. The Lakers came out flat and the Jazz were smarting from their horrendous loss earlier in the week. Really no biggie. Remember the big picture.

I can say this though ... if the Jazz keep wearing green unis, in my view they'll be right up there with THOSE GUYS for most hated team. :man10:

At least LA has two days off. Kobe can heal up some and get better. And they can have this game in their minds to help them think about what they need to do better for the next.

When Bynum or Gasol are doubled in the paint, and we're sucking from 3-pt land, then our perimeter guys need to make an effort to slash to the bucket. Too many times, I've seen Bynum get doubled and watch him throw tough crosscourt passes to our perimeter players who are camping out at the 3-pt line and they proceed to clank 3-pointers.
