Nash was looking great before the tip. He was actually skipping around, smiling, even gave gary vitti a fist bump. 2 minutes in the game he barely gets hit and its out for the game now.

Houston, Dallas, and most likely Utah with all wins today

After the 19-7 stretch, must say I didn't see this coming

At least there will be some peace of mind if they lose today though. Won't expect the playoffs anymore and I can stop watching games.

Sadly, this..
A potent offensive team with several guys who have the ability to shoot the ball and play 1 on 1 against OUR defense? Should be a loss

I'm thinking that it'll be a blowout by the 3rd quarter. Hopefully I'm wrong

It was actually kind of a fun game at first, each team was making shots and it was fast paced and seemed like every basket had an answer on the other end(Both ways). But as we've seen so many times from LA this year, as soon as they stop making shots at all it immediately becomes a 15 or so point deficit. 15 is always the magic number, Lakers will start hustling a bit once it gets to 15 but even if they outplay the Kings for the rest of the match they'll still likely come up short.

Same, exact, thing that we've seen at least a dozen times before.

As it sits, I'm not watching this crap. Seen it too many times, I'll check the box and see if it gets interesting, but I expect them to go down by 15, eventually bring it to within 5 or something and then lose by 8 or 9.

I should get an assist for that. It's an intentional pass to oneself, so it's an assist. That way people can't say all I do is shoot.

This is for all dimwits who do not understand how a coach can be the one to blame for defensive lapses.

Take a goddamn timeout. Yell a bit. Shift defensive assignments. Whatever. Do something. Show that you care..

ATGROMD.

I'll be a dimwit then.... The coach can set the tone but when you have 4 freaking veteran HOF players who understand what the hell is going on not even trying most of the time I'm not buying the coaching angle....

Ah... now you are just playing devil's advocate.

Doesn't matter 4 HOFs. There are other players who see their coach not care about defense and they act accordingly. Young, or journeymen...

Coach is accountable for everything. Just like Tibbs is credited with great defensive schemes - coach can be blamed for not having any. Two way street.

Eff the tone. Kobe doesn't play defense? Identify the reason and either 1) shut him down if he can't 2) sit him down if he won't

Come on... having a scheme and practicing it is one thing but effort and recognition is another. The coach can do one but being mentally prepared is all on the players. 10+ vets shouldn't need a Raw-Raw motivator.... this isn't college....

Age and being overplayed are the culprits here IMO....

Not talking about motivation, Roo. But you are the coach, saying "well, I have 4 HOFs, I shouldn't need to motivate them or ask for their effort" doesn't actually absolve you from DOING SOMETHING when things do not work.

What you are suggesting is MDA having a built in excuse and not doing anything to break through.

so does anyone knows the answer, if MDA resign instead of getting fired, we don't have to pay him for rest of 2 years contract right?

The encouraging thing? As bad as we've been this game defensively we're only down 5.
