I will no longer call them the Queens for gameday threads, we suck so bad I have no right to be mocking any other team out there, this is a sad day.

agreed. Like any team, they can enforce their game on us if they push hard enough.

Kobe bone spurs. Nash inflamed hamstrings and back spasms. Dwight and Pau not knowing how to play with each other when in the game and play with lack of heart. Metta is gone. MDA hasn't a clue on how to manage (coach) his resources. Big fat loss. I think the best thing is they miss the playoffs and get to work on next year. To go out in 1st round would only extend the pain. Lakers win championships. Lakers aren't rewarded by just making the playoffs.

Now that the Lakers are losing the playoffs race, all of a sudden everyone got hurt to have an excuse for being part of the biggest flop in NBA history.

^ wow, are you serious?

Unfortunately, this isn't a game I consider "easy", despite Sacramento's record. Our defense has been putrid for a while now, and their offense will probably be pretty effective against us, they have all the tools (athleticism, quick guards, good shooters..) they need to hurt us..
The Kings always seem to play extra hard against us, and with everything the way it's been going lately I think there's a good chance this will be an L. They forced a in-the-middle-of-a-historic-win-streak Miami team to overtime, they have the capacity to really put points up. Worried.
"The first time I ever saw my uniform hanging in the locker I put it on right away, and it just felt like I was putting on golden armour. From that day forward, I just called it 'the golden armour', it just felt like there was something mystical and magical about it" - Kobe Bryant.

The Kings have been playing well since the All-Star break, I believe they've been the highest scoring team since then. This wouldn't have been an easy game even with Kobe/Nash healthy, so we'll need everyone to pitch in and contribute. I still think we'll win as there's just too much at stake but it will be close.

The Kings are 19-16 at home.

They're 8-30 on the road and took the Lakers down to the final minutes the last time they played at LA

I would not be surprised at all if this is a loss

Watch out, DeMarcus Cousins 30+, Isiah Thomas 5+ three's , Marcus Thornton of bench 20+.
Kobe and Nash playing through injury, so that's 10+ turnovers just from them.
Loss.

Kings streaks: Won 2, Won 4 of 6, Won 5 of 8, Won 6 of 10, Won 7 of 13.

They are hot right now and we are dealing with to many injuries. I can see isiah dropping 30+ points. We have to outscore them.

Sadly, I think this team has hit the veritable wall. MDA's decision to play a rotation of seven
players has most likely been a desperate effort to at least get the team into the playoffs to just try and save his job. Running older, veteran starters ragged is a recipe for disaster and short term success at best. And ownership's decision to not add a player or two that could conceivably give our starters a fewminutes rest here and there is just penny-wise and pound foolish. Perhaps MDA said he wouldn't play whomever they added. Who knows.

QUICK PREVIEW
Lakers (37-36) at Kings (27-46)
10:00 PM EST

LAKERS
Lost last 1
14-24 on the road
20-23 vs. West

PROBABLE STARTERS
Steve Nash 12.9 points, 6.8 assists, 2.9 rebounds
Jodie Meeks 8.1 points, 0.8 assists, 2.1 rebounds
Kobe Bryant 27.2 points, 5.8 assists, 5.4 rebounds
Pau Gasol 13.0 points, 3.4 assists, 8.1 rebounds
Dwight Howard 16.5 points, 1.4 assists, 12.6 rebounds

KINGS
Won last 2
19-16 at home
13-30 vs. West

PROBABLE STARTERS
Tyreke Evans 15.4 points, 3.7 assists, 4.4 rebounds
Isaiah Thomas 13.8 points, 3.8 assists, 2.0 rebounds
John Salmons 9.1 points, 3.0 assists, 2.8 rebounds
Jason Thompson 10.7 points, 1.0 assists, 6.6 rebounds
DeMarcus Cousins 17.2 points, 2.8 assists, 10.1 rebounds

PREDICTION
With both Kobe and Nash ailing with injuries, the Lakers are going to have to hope their bigs can deliver. DeMarcus Cousins and Jason Thompson could add even more pressure to Pau Gasol, Dwight Howard, Earl Clark, and Antawn Jamison. LA is likely to get the W here, but it will not be easy. A Loss could realistically end LA's chances at the playoffs.

LA has taken two of the three meetings this year, but Sacramento has been short-handed in both of those losses. Keep an eye on LA's turnovers and FT shooting. They've been poor all season, and they've been even worse against Sacramento (16.7 TO and 70% on FTs).

Kings 106
