Back to the topic, the Lakers played a really solid game today. Even if it was against a seemingly zero defense team. They pounded the ball inside to Shaq, and while he started slow, Foxy showed vet poised. Kobe Bryant is just spectacular and I really do think he's playing at a level beyond what he played at last season. He's amazing. He's finaly starting to peice every talent together into a complete game...

Great win for us, a start of another winning streak for sure.

I like the resiliency and the ups-and-downesses that this team shows..man, we played to the string of patheticness somewhere along the third and fourth quarters...and then we pulled away again to show our mark of a champion. But that is too inconsistent and we can't let guys be torturing us from three point territory, keep in mind Washington is loserville in all eyes after the departure of Jordan and we gave them 110 points...LOVE the 37 assists that we got today and the 122 points, and the Kobe triple double and another over par game by Kareem, but we've got to command control of ballgames to prove that we're totally dominant over these losers...right now the top teams won't be surprised by this gay victories and we need to beat a good team first before we change feelings

Kobe had a great game...he did it all.

Slava finally showed signs that he may be on his way out of the slump

Shaq had a good night offensively, but only 2 rebounds against Brown, Haywood, and Thomas...a little weak, don't yall think. I mean Pargo could get 2 boards against these guys.

Payton needs more touches. Phil and GP need to have a talk. Payton wants the ball more, and at least a few plays ran for him. He let Arenas get 35, but I think he needs to get going on offense to have a better night on defense. The triangle needs a few modification, looks like Tex will have to be called up and help modify this little problem.

Also, another superb night for Luke. He played 12 minutes, scored 9 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, and got 2 assists....now that is a thing of beauty.

Slava had a good game, what usually works is getting him easy shots early and letting him gain confidence. Shaq had a good game too, leading scorer for the Lakers deserves recognition.

Luke Walton is going to become one of the greatest passing fowards in leauge history. Mark my words. His courts sense is uncanny, and his vision is seemingly pristene.

I agree. I've been saying the same thing. I can't remember a rookie with such great court vision since Magic.

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

I'm glad we won, but it looks like the Lakers still need to get better. Kobe is obviously the best player on this team and is our MVP. Shaq got his, but why the weak rebounding? He needs to work more for those boards. GP needs to get more plays run for him. Slava, Luke, and Rush had good games, it's nice to see the bench do well. And Rick needs to work on his shooting to get back to his old self. But it's not a bad start to this 4-game 5-day road trip, I'll take it.

Yeah, neither can I. And you know what the most remarkable thing about Walton is in comparisin with Magic, is that Walton is a foward...

But then again, Magic could play all 5 positions...

Anyways, Walton was an absolute steal, and he's playing with the NBA greats right now... He's going to just be that much better. I love Luke!

Not really, four all star's ego's is enough for Phil to handle. Arenas is probably full of himself like most players in the league today and would only make things worse for the Lakers.

Yeah, plus Arenas got a 6 year, $65 million contract. You think Buss would have paid even half of that?

I think he would be a good BENCH guard for us, but if getting him would have meant that we wouldn't get Payton, then we wouldn't have gotten Malone....so no I don't regret it.

Yeah I know. That's a good point...

Anyways, with a strong win in D.C., let's hope they can continue their good play on the road against Jersey. :jam2:
