I think the Lakers will snap out of the funk they've been in the last few weeks.

Back on track, Lakers!

Excellent game, thats all I have to say....it looks like the defense came back because we only allowed 82 points on like 41% shooting, though I wish we held them to under 40%, oh well, but anyway, glad that our third rotation is playing at the ending minutes, including Walton and Cook...

HEY...did anyone see that cool Rush shot, just asking? He knew that he was gonna draw contact by Chris Mihm and he made that tough layup...Kobe-ish if you ask me, the guy can create and score....please comment on it, that was ultimate.

Also, glad to see Cook playing...his shot's as flat as a pancake though. He also took a three--wow, thats ill-advised but at least he's not afraid to shoot

Walton was actually pretty aight but he missed two free throws badly and airballed a three---so much for being an offensive guy...no ASSISTS too! Wow...wish he would create for some of our young'uns out there..

Breakthrough game by D. Fish...15 points off the bench and all these threes...what we needed...plus he upended Marcus Banks and showed the guy how to play, drawing offensive fouls on him many times.

Bryon Russell tried to capitalize on a dunk over Chris Mihm in the end but missed. That's like the first time I've seen him try to dunk all season...that woulda been something special, but we kept missing dunks all day long, like 4 of them, I believe.

Shaq seemed real frustrated when all these Boston whitenecks were grabbing upon his jersey. BTW, he went to the line 20 times.

Great rebounding....53-31 edge I believe. Shaq had 10 offensive boards and the PG Fisher had like 3...WOW....Boston must suck....at least we held Paul Pierce to his ground

Boston turned it over 23 times...but what I found funny was that we had balanced stealing...no one at our team got more than 2 steals

Not a bad game. Early on we let Boston back in a couple of times and tried too hard with the "Showtime" stuff, but in the second half settled down and got the easy win. The guys knew they needed a win and played like it. Now let's see if it carries over into the New Year and beyond. Go Lakers and Karl! :jam2:

Nice pics, and I know this isn't exactly related to the game, but did anyone else think the uniforms made it look like Boston's home court? :man10:

Not really, I think Staples Center looks like it's the brightest arena on TV and in person, so it still felt like our home to me.

i noticed how eveyrone had a good game EXCEPT Kobe...now this was VERY surprising but Jiri Welsch played VERY GOOD defense on Kobe, and so did Ricky Davis...now i didnt expect them to be very good defenders...but they shut Kobe down after a great 1st half...i was VERY surprised Kobe missed like his last 10 or 11 shots...anyway we got tha W and tahts all that matters...we coulda had like 120 pts if we had converted on all of those alley oops and miscues....man some of those woulda made GREAT highlights! i was bout to jump up outta my seat when i saw shaq throw a lob to kobe! i was like HOLY SHIIIIII AHHHHH DAMNIT KOBE! and then deveans' lob to kobe was too high! man and then there was shaq's one handed dunk that he missed that MIHM actually tried to contest! man so many missed dunks/alley oops that shoulda went in...but man what a nice win...

cook needs more arc on his shots...but its good to see him play his first game...and RYD i MISSED tha rush lay up and one play! i had to answer tha phone and it was all tha way downstairs and it was one of my family memebers and they took long and when i got back upstairs he was shootin tah FT...and i was like DAMN did i miss something?

you know what, karl jus BEING THERE on tha bench was an inspiration to tha whole team to play hard! i mean he wasnt there on christmas and wasnt there in GS...and we lost both games...now he comes to tha boston game and i think he INSPIRED us...at fisrt i thot he was gonna PLAY when i saw him on tha bench! but i guess he was there to support his team and MAKE us play hard! i bet he told shaq to be aggressive on tha baords and dominate tonight! karl needs to be there whether hes playin or not!

yeah Karl is a huge energy spark for us, whether if he is playing or just rooting on the team from the bench. That's one of the many great things about Malone.

I'm so glad that the lakers won this game since it was their last game of the year. I'm so glad that my baby D-Fish had 15 points that night and got out of his shooting slump! :jam2: I was so happy to see the Lakers had good D and Shaq had his 21,000 pts. I hope that starting their first game in the new year that they would have a long winning streak! And keep up their D! :jam2:
