In the post game interview, Payton says what we all wanted to hear

He said all these close games were getting ridiculous. And he said he is going to start pushing the ball more.

Everybody's missing the main point -- The Lakers have now learned how to win close games as a team.

And in playoff time, blowouts are rare in a series, so what's more important... blowing someone out or closing out a close game. I'll take more experience in last second heroics anytime.

Kobe Bryant is amazing, he is truly the most clutch player in the league.

I wish the Nuggets would trade places with the Lakers. Denver is awful.

But they won the game in the clutch in a close game. That's the main positive out of this game aside from player performances.

Shaq with a 60 efficiency rating tonight! The highest of any NBA player this entire season. Great to see that the Big Guy still has games like this left in him.

A win is a win, but the Lakers had another meltdown. This is happening way too often! :man5: The team must clamp down on defense and bring their A game against the Kings. :man7:

Anyone else notice the resemblance to last season? In a game VS Memphis. We turn it over at the end of a quarter Brevon hits a J beyond half court. We win the game by 1 by a J from Kobe.
What do you get when you fall in love? You only get lies and pain and sorrow.
I feel so much like giving up

You know what was really bad last night?

I'm watching the replay on FSN right now and at the end of the 4th quarter Fox went to call a timeout with .8 seconds left on the clock. He was signaling right away too. The refs should have reviewed the play, that was really bad.

The weird thing is that I'm pretty sure they DID review the play!

It was such a horrible call. If it wasn't for Kobe's game-winner, that might have been in question. You can get off a good shot inbounding from half court with .8 seconds left.

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

BEST VIDEO EVER ... AND AND THE SECOND BEST.

I remember 3 years ago in the playoffs there was .6 seconds left in the clock and Baron Davis hit a three to win the game, it was perfect too and got the shot out on time but the referees didn't count it and didn't have the benefit of replay. Pretty amazing though. That shot couldve let the Hornets win but instead they had to go to overtime (which they won there).

Yeah I rememeber that one... I couldn't care less about the Hornets, but at the same time I was kinda pissed they didn't allow an obviously good shot. At least the Hornets won though.

He banked it in from like 28 feet right?
