When we go on our runs it is when we are running the triangle and playing well as a team. When we aren't, it's forcing Kobe to take these shots. That's all I'm saying.

Im tired of people using the shot clock as an excuse, every superstar has the ball in their hands with 6 or 7 seconds left on the shot clock and they dont average 35 shots a game.

Most of them have better teammates too. :man1:

And by the way, Kobe is averaging 29 shots per game, not 35.

Just 29 eh? How many points is he averaging? 29? Less? :man1:

we lost this game b/c the absence of kwame believe it or not. not kobe. mike sweetney looked like an all-star tonight. we couldnt keep the bulls off the boards. that's why we lost. when kobe scores a lot and shoots a good percentage and we still lose...it's his fault. when kobe scores a lot and shoots a bad percentage and we lose...it's his fault. no matter what the blame is placed on kobe? why not look in the direction of LO. the guy couldnt even stay on the floor...and when he was on the floor...he missed FTs. thanks LO.

Exactly.....

You know why? Because he is the leader. The leader gets credit for the win, and blamed for the losses. That's just how it goes. People are ignorant, we just have to deal with it.

Kobe is doing his thing. We just need someone else to step up like Odom or Kwame, and we can win some ball games. So far, they haven't shown up to play ball.

I dont think its fair to call people ignorant because they dont like the fact that 1 player on their team is taking 35 shots per game in the last 3 games.
Just my lil ol opinion.

It's not that. It's just that people are blaming him for this loss, when he is the only one who played well. He kept us in the game. Without his effort tonight, we would've gotten blown out by at least 20 points.

Just curious, what's your proposal on how to fix this team? What adjustments are needed? How many shots should Kobe take?

Damn, I gald you asked me this.
You cant just fix a team, you can make adjustments and hope they work.
So they should put a gun to Lamar's head and tell him to attack when given the opportunity. <----Key word opportunity.
I think Kobe shoud average about 24 shots per game and attack the basket as much as possible cuz when he attacks, he will draw attention and he can pass out to wide open players. See, now he just shoots over the defender and there is no need to double team him when he is shooting 20 footers so hes gotta go to the basket in order to get assists.

What would you do?

cussing is NOT allowed here on CL. And it won´t be tolerated twice. Consider this a warning.

Dude, what are you talking about??? Show me where I cussed. Am I blind or what?!?! You said the word 'stupid' should I warn you? I didn't cuss buddy. Many more people say 'damnit' and'hell' which are cuss words, why don't u warn them?

To Lavers4eva: Well, honestly, it should work, but that's mostly what he did last year, and his teammates just didn't hit shots cuz we had no shooters. We have no shooters again. But yes, I do agree with you, Kobe needs to attack the basket more. However, someone needs to be aggressive other than Kobe. Despite Kobe taking a lot of shots, no one else seems like they want to. No one else is being aggressive at all.

Why didn't we get Damon Jones!??!?! At least the Cavs' GM is smart enough (stupid Mitch).

Are you blind? Flaming, cussing or any kind of personal attacks is a no-no period. And its always a sign that you run out of arguments. So the sooner you understand this the better for your carrier on Club Network.

Oh, oh, oh!!! Okay, you meant personal attacks. Because I didn't cuss. Well either way, you called Kobe stupid, and that is a personal attack, right? (and its not a sign of running out of arguments, just venting frustration)

I apologize.

I apologize.

1.Personal attacks on members is not allowed. So calling Kobe stupid is allowed.
1.I have never called Kobe stupid. I have said stupid shots or something but I can´t remember saying Kobe is stupid. I´m a huge Kobe fan but I´m a bigger Laker but some people here just seem to be Kobe fanatics.

It seemed like they were reluctant to post up Bynum, I saw several opportunities inwhich he had posistion but was denied the ball. When we work inside out we are most effective. Also When Bynum started intimidating shots in the painted area we were at our best. You dont get this with Mihm or Kwame. Because of his length he is such an asset even at his age. I feel we ought to use him more. Gametime experience will only aide to his development.

Nobody is seting up the bigmen inside. not Bynum, not Kwame, not Mihm. They just ignore them. You know what our problem is?
We are a shooting team that can´t shoot.
Profit has always been known for his ATRPCIOUS shooting. lamar isn´t good either. Kobe takes too many of em. Sasha can´t hit any shots. Smush has the slowest release since McKie. You know we just do not have shooting specialists but the mentality of this team is spoting up and wait for Kobe to kick it out. It just sucks to watch.

Kobe needs to get his teammates involve. And that means he can't take 30 shots per game, he needs to distribute the ball more. Even with foul trouble, Odom had what, under 5 shots in the game? Kobe was making more effort last year to help teammates last year, he avged like 6+ assists, but he is not doing that this year. Phil Jackson needs to set Kobe mind straight asap.

Boy Phil Jackson IS the guy that told Kobe he should take so many shots. Its not like Kobe is allowed what he wants and if we had ANY better option Jax would have burned Kobe. The point is there is no better option.
You know what sucks? Kobe right now can do whatever he wants. Shot 60 times or 5 times or 20 times or whatever. We suck as a team , there is no cohesiveness and the rest can´t hit a shot to save their life. THEY CAN´T.I must become more obvious
McKie 20% (0% 3FG)
Lamar 42% (28% 3FG)
Sasha 29% (26% 3FG)
Profit 42% (15% 3FG)
Gump 39% (34% 3FG)
Kobe 44% (12% 3FG)

Our FT shooting sucks too.
Lamar 63% (2-12 in the last 2 games, are you kidding me :bang: )
Kwame 45%
Smush 60%

And all of this guys are annoying as hell cuz they just can´t hit open shots. They suck to say it more obvious. THESE GUYS SUCK. And you know why? Because we do not have an inside-out game. Because we don´t feed the bigmen and we rather take jumpshots and 3s and look at those stats and you see why we suck. We are a shooting team with a shooting mentality without the ability to shoot. If thats the new triangle it sucks, but I´m sure its not. We take as many high percentage shots as Phoenix, Seattle and this teams. We have a mentality problem. Lose a game is something that happens but being outhustled at home is BEYOND inexcusable. Getting crushed on the boards and not even contest the rebounds is annoying not Kobes shooting 30 times. Now you see how we miss Kwame. Double whopper´s like Sweetney looked like Dennis Rodman on the boards.

When you finish the game with a 1-11 run at home you usually suck.
