I'm sorry-- the refs cost us the game-- great game overall.

THREE bad calls within the last 40 secs. Terrible. They reffed the whole game WAY too loosely.

Keyon Dooling blocked it-- it was questionable whether it was goaltending or not.

I thought the way Kobe was playing, there was no way we would lose, but I guess when some force (refs) doesn't want you to win, there is not much you can do about it, no matter how good of an effort a player of a team puts forth

worst referring ever...worst than tha dallas game...TERRIBLE...i coulda done my f*ckin hw in that f*ckin time watchin tha game...now we're gonna lose against minny and denver and we'll be 21-11 and we'll fall further behind sacramento...and now malone wont be back til 14th of jan...and F*CKING shaq will continue to be a pu$$y and say his calf hurts...

very frustrating watchin tha f'n clips lose to tha kings and then beat tha lakers...

didnt i say this was gonna happen?

why do each and every single one of u predicct tha lakers will win?

we were destined to lose this game no matter what happened

I agree with you BDG, but we can't just count on our 4 HOF'S all the time.. our role players have to step up and make the difference SOMETIMES AT LEAST... Slava is really proving his worth..

Well we should have won if it wasn't for the horrible calls we got in crunch time and throughout the game.

Exactly-- I was impressed with how we played with all those injuries, but it was the refs' game tonight...

Officials: #33 Sean Corbin , #14 Joe DeRosa , #55 Bill Kennedy
I've never even heard of these guys before...

I agree the refs were bad, but it was close and the Lakers would have won if we had gotten more points from players other than Kobe. Brand and Magette were pretty good. Disappointing loss, but I won't be worried unless we lose three in a row. Injuries are hard but we must adjust and move on.

BDG, Jsm and Rydj...I totally agree with you about the officiating tonight. I was frustrated 2nd quarter and on. I won't even begin to talk about the second half. Payton, George, Kobe...all OVER the refs and even P. Jackson. This game was definitely under the control of the refs which makes it frustrating to watch! :mad1:

This just goes to prove however that the Lakers are gonna have to PLAY HARDER and make sure we BLOW TEAMS OUT, because in the past, currently and in the future, the LAKERS GET NO BREAKS & NO LOVE!!!

200 miles away at LakersTalk islands they're talking about trading Derek Fisher...hmm...just a mere observation, but didn't he blow a layup against Elton Brand?

No, the referees were horid tonight. And any "fan" watching that game would agree...

I've never seen so many contriversial calls in the 4th quarter in my life... Terrible refering tonight... That said, the Lakers played pretty well without Shaq and Malone, even though we lost, it proves that we can hang with tough teams.

Now we have a tough road schedule ahead of us, Tue. @ Minnesota. This is not going to be easy.

but in reality, having the Clippers really changed? Last year I swear to God that they'd never get teh benefit of the calls...but when I saw all those controversial you'd have thought that Steve Javie was among the officiating crew...but of course, if he were in there he might have made the calls already in the 1st quarter...and really, I can't imagine all those cheers that the Clippers are getting. The fans were actually cheering more for them than for us, even though it was their home court I'd have thought that the Lakers, beknownst of their high record, would get most of the cheers...it was more of a mixture but I felt the Clips were getting a lot of cheers. So, the main topic: have the Clippers finally earned their respect from the league?...Man, this loss would have felt better if they also beated the Queens last night...but the Clippers have seen to have turned up their firepower and are really on attack mode in the West radar. Even though we didn't have Shaq/Malone, I must say, they really put up a fight and a stance to make the playoffs.

That "blown" layup was actually missed because Elton Brand got ALL of Fisher's arm on the play. Of course, the refs missed that call.

Since when are the Clippers a "tough team." I won't deny we played well tonight, but I don't know about the Clippers being that good.

Oh well, it's just 1 of 82 games.
