Of course it matters!

The numbers are right there: 53% from three...30+ points allowed in the 3rd.

Just because a team misses some shots doesn't mean we played defense.

53% from 3 doesn't matter if they aren't taking them.

They scored 86 points. We played defense well enough to keep them from getting much else other than 3's.

They were missing shots because we were playing defense. If you don't think so, then you weren't watching.

Just stop dude...you can argue with me all you want...but you can't argue with the numbers. Doesn't matter if they're not taking them? lol. They took 19 and made 10. What are u talking about???

They had 5 players in double figures. Their bench outscored our bench 29-14.

Just...stop.

I'm highly critical of our team's defense (thats just me) but I'm sure I'm not the only one that cringes at our defense. For someone to try to tell me how to react to a game...well...thats just plain silly.

people don't understand that for ever 3 its an extra point, without those 3's its a tied ballgame

So what? They scored 86 points.

We are the 2nd best offensive team scoring wise. If we scored our average, nobody would be questioning our defense. In fact, our defense would have been praised instead of questioned.

We didn't score tonight. Plain and simple.

Yes I can argue the numbers.

86 points is 86 points.

If we scored our typical 100+ game, nobody would be questioning our defense.

Don't be fightin over this loss now folks. As strange as it sounds, it was alright for me. The Lakers looked like they were all under the weather coming into today's game, and they lost to the toughest opponent of this road trip. That's the bad news. The good news is they did win the previous 4 road games and they'll win the next 2 as well. They better win the next 2 or war will be declared again in this club lol. With all that said, Salala, Puke and Farmer still piss me off everytime they play.

No, you can't argue the numbers. Whats one of our biggest defensive issues? Can't defend the three ball. Check.

Did u even look at those other numbers?

Offense is almost always a given. Defense and physicality are questions for this team.

I'm with Revgen, our defense was fine. We held them to 14pts in the 4th qtr, it could have easily been a comeback if we were able to hit some shots. 35% fg for the game isn't going to cut it.

Yeah, this game was more about terrible offense than terrible defense. We missed more easy shots than I've ever seen us miss, from at-basket layups, to wide open jumpers, to putbacks and tips. We were absolutely miserable offensively. But, defensively, we did fine, for the most part. We sucked at guarding the three, but other than that, we did fine.

Was at the game, great atmosphere. Lakers fans outnumbered Hawks fans 2:1. Too bad we played our worst game of the year.

^ Worst offensive game maybe. The defense was actually pretty good. We got some key stops, but didn't score.
