Lakers were able to match the intensity finally and not get pushed around. They kept their heads, got to within striking distance, and then handed it over to the closer. Props to Odom for closing on Allen. Props to Fish for securing that boards. Props to Gasol for being where he was. Had he been closer to the basket, that would have been a Celtic board and a layup with 1 second left.

He put his elbow out AND HE WAS JUST STANDING THERE and kevin garnett RAN INTO HIM and they called the foul on artest, and Garnett was laughing like a kid who just ejaculated

Do you all realize that a high percent of the people who talk trash about Celtics physical way of play because Lakers is a finesse team, not a banger ? They want his team to be like the Cs and i think that is horrible. The way this team can play in both O and D is amazing, but it also can led to games like this. Other way to say it, this team can only be won when you play a game like the C and the Cavs took good notes about 2008 and they are doing the same this year. But it's not like this is the end of the world, other teams can be won way more easily.

I mean, i had read some random pages and i think the high volume of hate post to Gasol during this game was absurd. It wasn't no way close the worse game he had against the Celitcs. He played a so-so game. He will never be a physical player and when he is abused it's hard to him to get back to his game. It's not like he has no weak points. When he plays against this type of lineups he struggles. But the amount of hate ?

I think he looked worse because Bynum had a superb game. He was sharp on offense and put a lot of effort in the D having great plays in both ends.

But you look sometimes like crazy 15 years old fangirls.

we can beat the Indianas and NYs of this world without Gasol...we need him in these big tough dirty physical games and every damn time...dude plays like a wuss...

seriously, its all about the Championship...the Finals...thats what we are going to face...and we need to come through. Just because Gasol isn't a banger doesn't mean he should be totally intimidated...he couldn't even catch a freakin pass...thats an epic fail for an all-star.

I love the fact that Andrew Bynum showed us so much today. That was the most heartening thing about it for me - maybe as much as the win itself for me it was so encouraging to see Andrew bringing all of his fire. That's the Bynum I've been missing and it's great to see it him return when it matters! Now let's just bottle that energy up and be sure we've got it for the playoffs. :jam2:

Great clutch play from Ron Artest tonight. That's why he's here. And I'm very glad about it.

All around Ron played really well. No, he didn't produce as much as he could, yes he missed some shots. But, his attitude and demeanor was very authoritative and he was leading on the court. Also, his feet are definitely feeling better, he didn't get blocked by the rim even once.
