Sun. 2/2 - Lakers vs Grizzlies - Predictions & Comments

This team WILL NOT get it together. If they haven't gotten the wake up call by now they never will. This is just a bad bad team. A team that got lucky with a soft opening schedule and who can't beat good teams.

I'd like to see Brown - Bryant - Barnes - Artest - Pau right now.

And as I'm typing this, Phil plays Kobe and Brown together.
1st Round Predictions:
Spurs in 6, Lakers in 4, Mavs in 7, Thunder in 7
Bulls in 4, Heat in 5, Celtics in 6, Magic in 7

2nd Round Predictions:
Bulls in 5, Heat in 7, Lakers in 5, Thunder in 7

I rather see Drew, not Pau.

They can still win this game if they really want to.

I have no confidence in anyone shooting the ball on this Lakers team right now.

If he was healthy, I'd agree, but we need someone who can run.

All that noise from Pau under the rim and he still needs Lamar to come and finish his layups. :man10:

You got 3/5 right. Pau & Barnes have no business on the court.

You have teams like Boston and Dallas missing a bunch of starters and still beating teams they are supposed to. Lakers are no where near the same class as all those top teams. In reality the Lakers are about a 7 seed possibly 8.

Drew has outplayed Pau. Drew looks SO MUCH BETTER than Pau.

Stu's comment says it all: "no passion, no energy." And they've been like this all season. Usually when this attitude is this pervasive and team wide you usually make a coaching change because the coach has obviously lost his team and can no longer get through to them. In this special case, you've got an 11-time world champion for a coach who says everything will be alright in the end. We're kind of stuck in this situation and have to ride it out, for better or worse, and it's not looking good.

So Zach Randolph can throw his hands in the air and squint his eyes like a fat baby but when Kobe turns to say something he gets hit with a T. Ok.

If you're gonna get careless and get technical, just throw the white flag already and sit on the bench.

It's sad how the Grizzlies offense has our D scrambling every possession yet we can't get anything easy on offense.

i'm embarrassed for this team, and strongly think Kupchak will need to make a move.

Suns are starting to smile. They see a chance at winning the division. I would not be surprised if that happened.

Yes, but my point was to get in an athletic small-ball lineup that could create turnovers, hit a few threes, run, and space the floor for a high PnR game with Kobe.

Lakers have really only had one or two thoroughly satisfying wins this season. Almost all of their losses have been blowouts and most of their wins have been closer than they should be. Every time they look like they are starting to get back together, they fall apart again, and at times, the types of mistakes they are making are things that even d-league teams or college teams don't do.

I really question what the hell is going on at Lakers practice these days. It feels like everyone is coasting on what they know and not actually working on anything.

I can't count them out for the postseason, they have all the pieces they need to threepeat, but it just feels so unlikely right now.
