7 games? "do we still win this series?"
OKC easy road to the finals?
calm TF down
hornets played great today
pau cant get much worse
we're gonna be ok, we're not going to be beat 4 times by a depleted Hornets team
we lost home court in the previous 2 playoff runs also, to better teams

Same as the last 10 games or so.
No aggressiveness from Pau
Odom is not playing inside enough
Not running the triangle....too much one on one
Bench is sucking worse than usual
Defense is a step slow and not aggressive.

This isn't a case of "under estimating" N.O. This is a team that isn't playing well at almost all facets of the game. We tried to play this game without a specific game plan. We should have had a plan for CP3 other than just playing him straight up with Fisher.

If you want to point fingers on this one....Look at Pau Gasol first. For some reason he had aggression on his moves..no attacks on the basket (until the very end), weak on defense (another story altogether) and just generally passive today.

I'm a big Pau supporter, and continue to believe in him, but today's effort was garbage.

Post-game thoughts:

-This is why you play the games.
-This is why you must take other teams seriously.
-This is why Pau is soft.
-This is why CP3 is a great PG.
-This is why the Lakers are in trouble.
-This is why we hate this team as much as we love it.

Questions:

Would Blake have made a difference today?
Will Pau become a man again?
Will the Lakers get out of the first round?
Is Gray's injury good for us?
Will we as fans continue to support this team?

Rightfully so, actually and I hate BSPN. No one actually cares about SA or the Grizz. CP3 is a huge star and the Lakers are the Marquee team of the league. Much bigger news. Also Manu was out and that was a down to the wire loss for SA. No one is that shocked about that outcome. Memphis matches well with SA even when they have Manu, so it made sense.

This was an embarrassing affair for the reigning champs. A literal David and Goliath win today for the Hornets. Big story.

He wasn't the only reason we lost, but he was a major non-factor. He needs his head examined, and maybe his private parts as well.

Kobe needed to be on CP3....at least to close. Fish is just a bad matchup, and on top of that got jobbed by the refs on several occasions where Paul clearly committed offensive fouls.

Moreso than that, the Lakers as a team need to buckle down and figure out how to properly play the PnR. They have done it before, but they need to have the plan, and they need to practice it before Wednesday. I have no doubt that these attentions to detail will be taken care of before then.

On the offensive end, we needed to go in the post more, but which post guy showed up today....for most of the game it was the Kobe show. Can't win with that on a consistent basis.

The one positive I take from losing is that it's what we needed to wake us up. However, I'll believe it when I see it. The next game will tell us whether we're serious or not.

I think the bookies have made their money today but not without help from refs and Lakers play. SA too... it's in the NBA's interest to have as many games as possible... but all this out the window if Lakers show up and mail it in again in game 2. They will seal their fate in a first round exit... :man5:

The attention and coverage is a good thing if it motivates us. People will be talking about this, and we'll need to shut them up with the next game.
