Sun. 3/18 - Lakers vs Jazz - Predictions & Comments

One thing that's for sure is Kobe will never change his mentality. I'm sure if Phil was here, and he told Kobe to stop shooting, Kobe would listen. I believe the same thing would have happened with Rick Adelman.

Unfortunately, Mike Brown doesn't have a spine. But it wouldn't matter either, since Kobe doesn't respect him.

Barkley on Saturday Night Live "translating" what coaches and athletes say in the press conferences:

Kobe: "something... mumble, mumble... something."
Barkley: "Imma shoot the ball. And if you pass it to me, imma shoot it again."
"It's not realistic to get younger and better when you only have the veteran's minimum to offer free agents." :mhihi:

This game seems like Andrew versus the entire Jazz team ... lol

Bynum is 12-13

Kobe is 2-18

Kobe has literally made less shots than Bynum has missed.

oops I meant one less

He's been shooting bad the whole game. Save the live and die stuff in the 4th quarter.

To top it all off. The guy who Kobe's guarding, Burke, has the last 7 could be 8 Jazz points.

A performance for the ages.

I can live with Kobe's bad night.... he's shooting shots within the offense and not really forcing...... most of his misses are within 12' tonight. We'll be just fine if he continues to get these shots the rest of the year..... it's just not there tonight...

Jazz announcers saying Kobe's shooting the Lakers out of the game. Can't say he's wrong. I think if Kobe was going to get hot, he woulda by now. But he's earned the right to keep shooting. You never know.

I don't think that Kobe would stop shooting if PJ or Adelman told him to.

We don't get the ball to Drew and Sessions is on the bench the second half of the 4th quarter. Thumbs up to the douchebag that made that decision.

Kobe sucked all night, everyone else played their part, Bynum was great, Pau was decent, Sessions was great it was KOBE the black hole keeping us from winning this game, so he's indeed the zero. I don't know why he wasn't benched team leader or not bench him.

Kobe is so cold right now it's painful to watch. I mean, I've seen him have real bad FG% nights, but they are usually accompanied with some questionable shot selection. Tonight, this are his shots. They just can't seem to fall. He's like blocked or something. He's taking in-rythm, good looks, he just can't hit any. The only questionable shots I've seen him take were a few 3s, but even those are the kind of 3s he makes.. If I was Brown I'd run him through some screens, make it easier for him to find guys and get closer to the basket.

I don't understand why Sessions is sitting down when we clearly need points. Blake isn't getting anything done out there.
