How is a double teamed 3 smarter than a single coverage 2?

I agree. Half the people here would be cursing Kobe dor taking a 3 had he missed. People need to relax.

And here's another game that proves we need a PG.

I thought Kobe was fouled by Barnes on the last shot. :man5: Anyways, congrats to the Magic. But if these teams meet again in the Finals, the Lakers WILL win. :jam2:
Thanks for the sig, Jr. Kobe.

Ugh...the slump continues.

At least they kept it close and had a chance. Two foot on the line Js end up being costly.

Neither do I.

you don't let the defense set up, and wont' have issues taking the ball out of bounds, and there was more than enough time on the clock

also, you're going to have the ball end up in kobe's hands on top anyway

i think it was the right move not to take a TO

I would have preferred the 3. Kobe had just made two of them right before that(yes, one was a 2, but he shot it as though it were a 3) and was clearly feeling the outside stroke. Meanwhile, he'd been missing mid-range Js all day long.

If you're gonna give the ball to Kobe in a down-2 situation you should be doing so for him to win it. We've got 4 other guys that could tie the game.

yea like i said before, i would prefer having ZERO last minute drama. let's just destroy teams using the talent we have. guess that's too much to ask though.

In all honesty the Magic should have lost that game. We had over 20 turnovers and so many missed clutch free throws.

It's sometimes good not to take a timeout because it doesn't let the defense get set up. If we called a timeout, we might have not even gotten the ball inbounds, you never know. I don't understand why Bynum didn't play in the last 4 minutes either. Our D would have been WAY better, and I would rather see him in the post than Kobe launching 20 foot airballs. But oh well, we're not even going to see the Magic team in the playoffs.

i just feel like Kobe makes that 3 in that situation, cuz then he wouldnt be fading away, it woulda been a straight line 3, instead of a fall away jump shot. In that situation, matt barnes is scared. And if Kobe was going to go for 2, he shoulda went WAY earlier, not wait until there's no time left. Or we should have taken the time out so then not more time goes off the clock. Man just a bad finish, and thats 2 outta the 3 games on this road trip that we had chances to win. I'm shocked we lost all 3 games, man we better win the rest of the games in March otherwise our home court advantage in the WEST is in jeopardy (mavs have won 11 straight, now only 3 games back).

How about, if everyone plays like they are professional basketball players and act like they care, instead of blaming Kobe? Had it not been for him, the game would have been over a long time ago.

Oh really, Howard and Barnes weren't right there? Unless you mean 35 feet from the hoop, he was.

on the road a 3 to win it is always smarter than a 2 for OT...thats an old basketball rule.

Kobe will be blamed for it too.....expect a massive roasting for giving up that three to Douchetard Barnes.
