Well of course I'm not happy, but i give props to my Lakers for hanging in there, good game. hopefully we will see them in a 7 game series.

So far, all I read its "DAMN YOU KOBE ITS YOUR FAULT" quotes..
Sometimes I wonder if people even watch the game, because all I saw was Kobe keeping us IN the game while the rest of the Laker players were just watching...

Kobe lost the game for us with his plays at the end of the game. I guess it's ok for this forum given that Kobe is taking the big shots. This way this team will be again a sub .500 team.. more or less Kobe's shooting percentage.

on the road a 3 to win it is always smarter than a 2 for OT...thats an old basketball rule.


i would say always, it would depend on momentum, foul situation, etc.

but all things being equal, go for the 3. i would have gone for the 3 as well, but i was okay with the 2 since howard had 5 fouls and the lane was opening up

I understand what you're saying, but it's a lose-lose situation. Kobe misses a 2, "He should have taken a 3". Kobe misses a 3, "He should have went for the tie." The TEAM needs to learn to play defense together and step up. As much as I love to see him make clutch shots for us, I'm sick watching Kobe bail us out night after night. People complain that Kobe shoots too much, be alot of the shots he takes are woth 3 seconds left on the clock when a teammate finally decides to pass it to him or, in this game and MIa games case, when we need his baskets.

Meh...just ignore them.

Whether he should have taken a 2 or 3 is the only thing debatable. And even then, we all know that Kobe likes that shot he took. It just didn't go down.

I agree. Like I said, every loss is tough, but I'd rather have us go through this slump now and fix our weaknesses so will be ready come playoff time.

I should be mad, but I'm feeling more disappointment than anger right now. Next game is Tuesday at home against the Raptors, if the Lakers lose that one, THEN I'll be mad. :mad1:

Maybe you was watching something different, because Drew played very well in this game. It's not his fault Fish and a couple other guys doesn't defend his man and has to help, which results in a couple of bogus calls.

What game were u watching? Kobe had barnes ISOLATED after howard showed on the pick. he had a good 5 secs alone with Barnes. He should have taken that shot instead of coming in closer to take a fall away jumper that he wasn't hitting all night. He had hit 2 straight 3's before that, so taking that 3 I could have lived with it, but a two to tie and u miss? He shud have gone WAY earlier if he was going to shoot a 2 so then at least we have a shot at a tip in or a foul on howard and we still have that timeout to advance the ball! Ah just stupid basketball overall im surprised we were even there at the end despite playing horrible the entire game. All I know is, its march, this team has 18 losses, dallas is creepin on us, and we have yet to play our best bball. I'm waiting for that "switch" to be turned on. We're struggling to win games THIS late in the season? I think this team is bored and waiting for the playoffs to start. News flash: theres a full month left guys. Get ur act together. Honestly im not too upset we lost this game im more upset we lost against miami and charlotte. THOSE lossses are unaccpetable. But tonight we had a shot at winning it and it just didnt happen. Oh well lets move on and snap this losing streak.

And Kobe passes up shots, he gets bashed for it as well. When it comes to Kobe, everything he does is wrong.
