We are doing O.K. on turnovers and rebounding but shooting isn't quite what it was last game....

one of the worst teams is tied at half with us... man it's frustrating how this team is so bipolar. one game is a blowout win, next one is really, really close and usually a loss

Afflalo was a teammate of Jordan Farmar for one year at UCLA. The next year they went to the Final 4 with coach Ben Howland, Kevin Love and Collins and a few others that are all in the NBA. Don't know why Lakers didn't get more of those guys.

I could upload a screenshot, but Kobe was turned backwards and almost certainly didn't see Jamison.

we were shooting 50% a minute ago. now 43%.

def a bad half. need to play with more energy than that. they gotta get Dwight more involved and also Meeks and Jamison imo

Just goofing around and playing down to the competition. frustrating...

I just feel like Kobe isn't letting the game come to him. He is forcing his shots and such. Just play the offense and hit the open guys.

He's doing okay but you can tell he's forcing it a little more now. Want him to get back into facilitating mode for the 3rd

Yeah, what the heck? I guess Kobe saving it counted as a steal, but I don't think he or any of us got credit for it. :mad1: Box score just says Kobe with shot at 29 seconds, then Afflalo with 3 pointer at buzzer. :disagree:

What gets me is that the Lakers can't seem to string together stretches of smart and well consistent play. Even if they are playing 'better' overall for a given length of time, it is almost always marred by unforced errors, careless turnovers, defensive lapses and other 'wth' type moments. I mean, part of that is just the nature of the sport at this level, but still, it's hard to feel great about your team when they seem to just take minutes 'off' sporadically throughout any given quarter or half.

Kobe scored final 12 points of the half. he's gotta get others involved.

it's not like they were all sucking...they weren't even getting the ball. it didn't even move from Kobe's hands

Bench should have played longer ... did well ... starters were not interested and Kobe was playing 1 on 5 again .. well there was absolutely no need for this at the point he started doing this...

Most of the team doesn't understand the concept of defensive rotations but nothing new here

Ebanks on pace for minutes.....

I guess hitting just about everything you throw at the basket doesn't carry over with MDA

Why Kobe is playing 12 minute stints and then coming back in after 3 minutes of rest is beyond stupid. I though that was a Mike Brown thing, I'm not liking that it is a MDA thing now.

He's going to continually fade over the course of the season.

So far the team is not playing catch up as we become accustomed during MB reign. Seeds have been planted and some of those players sitting on the bench are now showing their stuff and D is looking a lot better. Can't expect Kobe to carry the team in desperation anymore. Under D'Antoni we saw 'Linsanity' with the Knicks and we may see something comparable from someone from our own bench. The preview was against the Nuggets. Like what's unfolding so far.

Yup....

Why did Howard get 19:35 when he was dragging for the last 7 minutes while Hill sits?...
