When will Jason Kidd stop bucking shooting 3 pointers like Reggie Miller.

Lakers will win by 7 tomorrow, come back home and win a decisive game 5 by 21 points and put the pressure on the Mavs in game 6 to win in their house
Dwight, what's your decision. Dwight Howard - In this fall, this is very tough, in this fall I'm going to take my talents to Hollywood and join the Los Angeles Lakers

It is ALL on Gasol and LO to keep the Lakers going early. Then shannon and Blake to get the ball to Drew and hit a few jumpers. Then Kobe to close it -- not just by shooting jump shots. But by getting to the rim and getting easy looks for Gasol and Drew.

Please don't double Tyson or Dirk in the post. Kobe, Ron, or Fish. Let them handle it.

My head tells me this season is ending today. A lot of these comeback hopes hinge on certain players being what they used to be which seems to be wishful thinking. There are no signs pointing to the miracle revival of Gasol. I predict a tough, close game through three quarters again, maybe the Lakers even leading throughout and appearing to control the game. And then like games 1 and 3, Dallas makes all the clutch plays and we fold again.

But even if we get our butts kicked in a blowout I'll watch to the very end. Phil's last game - wouldn't miss it for the world.

I'm feeling good about the game today. Going to go home, do a foolishly hard workout, and then settle into game-watching mode.

I don't feel good at all about the game. All I keep picturing is elimination game on the road against Detroit, and how every game the fans expected the Lakers to turn it around and get a much needed win to bring the series back to LA, but it never happened.

All I hope is for the Lakers not to be blown-out and to instead show some pride as they go down to Dallas. A close, hard fought game with every player not name Gasol (I've completely given up on him, he went home mentally before Game 1) trying their best would make me happy and would help salvage a shred of dignity for how the team sent Phil off to retirement.

I will be surprised if the Lakers win, since in my head I can't fathom a win for the reasons I outlined in my earlier post, but hopefully the Lakers prove me wrong.

Blow-out by Dallas.. just like nearly every other elimination game in the Kobe-era. But I'll still watch and hope we something different today.

The Lakers did win an elimination game against Boston in 2008, but that was at home. It's much more difficult to avoid elimination on the road, which is why I too am worried for a blow-out by Dallas especially when the Lakers have lost the previous four road elimination games by an average of 23 points.

Perhaps that trend ends today, perhaps not. As long as the Lakers go down fighting, I can accept they were defeated. To watch them go out with a whimper yet again would be incredibly painful and sad to witness considering this is likely Phil's final game.

the Lakers have won quite a few elimination games. Against Houston game 7, against Boston game 7 last year.
You are right, its that much more difficult on the road because Dallas also knows that if they lose this, they might have to play at least 2 more games and have a lot more pressure. I'm sure Dallas will try everything humanly possible to win this in 4 and get some much needed rest for their stars.

I realized I left out some elimination games after I posted, but I didn't feel like editing it :man11:

Thanks for brining up the other elimination games. I just hope the Lakers can win one on the road, but I'm preparing myself for a loss which is much more likely at this point.

I have a feeling we will NOT suffer a close loss today. Either we will dominate the Mavs, or win a close one or get blown out by the Mavs.
