Agreed. He didn't have a legendary series or anything, but he played at a minimum perfectly competent basketball, at a high proficiency level that you would expect from a professional NBA player. He tried to make adjustments for his team, adopting different roles as the series progressed and he consistently came with fight and effort that simply wasn't present.
You can make the argument that he didn't get it done in a 'floor general' sense, and maybe that is true, but even the greatest leaders can only do so much, at some point, when a player has made the decision to slack off or stop paying attention, you can't make them get back in it.
