Pretty crappy loss, but we couldn't keep winning forever, and day games just aren't our thing, we never show up.

we lost it by ourselves ... it's a shame but as karacha said we had to lose sooner or later ... problem is chicago now ... i really don't wanna play them without HCA

Definitely, he's done. He should retire next year.

Ultimately, not having Bynum made the difference. No way drew would have been pushed out like that. But, health comes first, if sitting him for the remainder of the game is a necessary precaution, then I'd rather see him sit, even at the cost of a loss. Still, the Lakers lost this game with their turnovers and poor focus, those final seconds were just scramble mode.

I don't give a damn, Bynum should've been down there. You know Nena isn't an amazing free throw shooter, you get your biggest guy on the court to rebound

That's alright still doing well. Playing bad against a team you've never played against is expected. Just keep those turnovers lower.

I hope Lakers have that familiar unpleasant taste in their mouth and remember it the next time they take the court... Don't want them to stop winning but it could result in more losses before the end of the season...

I fail to see how a bad shooting game for Kobe is 'pathetic'. If he didn't try, if he quit, that's pathetic, he gave his all it just wasn't falling. This is a guy that's been balling lately and we've been winning, and he has one bad game and it's pathetic. Come on, that's a bit extreme no? The guy's not allowed to have bad games now and then? I'm not going to call my favorite player and our best player pathetic for one bad game, especially since nobody will be calling him that when we win it all this year.

As if there was any choice on that last 3 by Kobe.

We lost, it isn't the end of the world.

Kobe didn't play well that is for sure, but he wasn't the only one. The entire team didn't play smart. We had a huge advantage in the post and ignored it all day. None of the ball handlers even tried to feed the post.

Yeah, what the hell else could we do than a quick Kobe 3. We've won 17 of 19 since the AS break and people are freaking out, get a grip, you can't win em all.

The stupidity in a game day thread when we lose is so mind boggling that it's mind bottling.

Fans shouldn't lose sight of the bigger picture. We are in very good shape, and the biggest issue right now is Drew and his knee.

Although to be fair, Phil not having him in there is not necessarily a bad sign...Phil likes to close with Lamar. I think today we should have closed with Drew.

Kobe didn't have a bad game. The game was officiated allowing a lot of contact. Kobe was fouled on that jumper from the wing, and it wasn't called. I bet it would have gone in otherwise.

Phil probably sat Bynum as a precaution, since the refs were allowing rough play. Too risky in this case that someone might try to hurt him. After the Gasol foul I don't blame him.

Meh...Do a history search and you'll see that lakers_09tv comes into EVERY single gameday thread in which the Lakers are struggling, and he always opens his posts with the word "Pathetic."

You kinda get used to seeing him show up when the Lakers/Kobe are playing bad. Nothing new here.

I thought the turning point was the two straight possessions where Pau got the ball stolen from him.

I never called Kobe pathetic. I said his play today was pathetic. Big difference. Anyways I said that out of frustration. It's tough losing such a winnable game when we are fighting for the number 1 overall seed.

I called this on page one. I have been watchin the Nuggs -- have boyz in Den. I have said this on several threads - Den will beat Oak City and then beat SA.

Lakers will go 7 against Memphis and then beat Portland in 7.

Then beat Den in 5.

Yeah the STAPLES crowd was even more lethargic than usual. They didn't start to get into it until 2:00 left in the 4th quarter. Pathetic
