another 'can't afford to lose' game...then again so was the phoenix game.

Preview coming. Early thoughts: I think Lakers will be the favorite there.

Another game we can't lose, with or without Howard I hope this team comes out similar to today's game. I don't expect the same insanely hot shooting but at the very least the same energy they played early on. If we play hard and consistent this should be a win.

Calderon gonna light Kobe up.

The Lakers front-court better dominate this game, they have no one worthy at the Front-court spot besides Monroe and they are even more bad with Prince traded.

Yes, that doesn't mean Clark's length can't bother him, although if I had to choose a ROY right now It would probably be Drummond he got 18-18 in less then 15 minutes which is bizarre.

I wonder if Clark should be considered for ROY? this is basically his rookie season and he's gotten minutes. he's basically a double-double threat every night.

Take it easy young man. That's what they said about Ariza, although he wasn't a rookie. He had a great run because of the team that surrounded him. He left for more money and hasn't been heard of since. Same for Shannon Browne and Andrew Bynum. This team is all about winning titles. That's the price you pay for being a fan. Nothing less makes anyone who hasn't won a ring unimportant.

Another early game. Sigh. Let's hope they don't come out sleep walking and embarrass themselves like they did against Toronto. I hate these games - essentially early morning for the Lakers on a day when several players may be distracted about where they are watching the superbowl.

PREDICTION
The Lakers destroyed the Pistons in early November, 108-79. That was the first win of the season for either team. Neither has impressed since then (or before). It is difficult to project this game because the Calderon addition could be significant. He torched LA for 22/9 earlier this season in a win while with the Raptors. Stuckey and Maggette will be coming off the bench. Both are troublemakers for LA.

The numbers tend to suggest that LA will not win big; in fact, at present, the numbers suggest Detroit is the favorite by less than a point. The fan in me says LA is too talented and Dwight could be the difference maker. A win could do wonders for LA, as it would mark a two-game win streak on the road and move them to within four games of .500 (hasn't happened since January 15th!).

Bad excuse - for me almost every game is between 2 and 4:30 am ... thankfully those early starts are at 7 pm for me here - so I'm more than ready. Next week I got all my university exams so we better not f this on up or my whole mood is screwed

With Howard out, the Front-court of the Pistons are gonna have a field day, Drummond is gonna kill us on the offensive-glass.... and a scrub is gonna emerge as a star... it always happens with the Lakers... and my best guess is... Will Bynum will look like a superstar today against the Lakers.
