Kobe, once he got the ball should have given it back to Nash and re-set..... two guys used to playing completely different ways..... it will take some time.

Is that a flagrant? The league is so soft right now.

^^ That has been my concern all along. People seemed to think I was harping on it too much. But you can already see it's a problem.

He was running them earlier in the game, but Pau/Dwight were setting up weak screens which led to nothing. Maybe this is a reason why they're trying something else.

MWP bailout. Only Brown could take 5 all star caliber players who fit and make them look like they don't.

Think that we are really go for a win this game, all our starters play more than 30 minutes in this game. :man5:

6/5/4 for Nash.

If that was Fish or Blake, I'd be very happy with the production, but... meh. Poor Steve. I hope he'll figure it out soon.

Even though Ron made that, I am not liking the look Of this hot potato offense.

I'm no fan of Brown but a bunch of guys that are used to having the ball a lot now not having the ball a lot..... it's not going to just work in the first game.... there will be a 20 game learning period at least....

Even the Heat had an 8-9 start in their first season together, a team with a new coaching staff and superstar players will take more then a few pre season games to gel. Patience gentlemen, patience.

I agree for the most part. Dwight hasn't played ball in forever and he's already put up a very good game. From what I'm seeing the starters are trying a lot harder tonight on both ends of the floor, but still not going at it 100%. Going to take a little more time to get used this new offense and all playing together, but they already look better than the last few games.

i figure it might be like this:

steve nash p&r mastery: master
steve nash princeton offence mastery: novice

maybe he (and the team) are trying to make sure they've got the system down, before relying on the free-form stuff that they can do in their sleep. i dunno...wishful thinking perhaps
