He was running them earlier in the game, but Pau/Dwight were setting up weak screens which led to nothing. Maybe this is a reason why they're trying something else.

I'm no fan of Brown but a bunch of guys that are used to having the ball a lot now not having the ball a lot..... it's not going to just work in the first game.... there will be a 20 game learning period at least....

True. This is probably them at their worst.

Even the Heat had an 8-9 start in their first season together, a team with a new coaching staff and superstar players will take more then a few pre season games to gel. Patience gentlemen, patience.

I agree for the most part. Dwight hasn't played ball in forever and he's already put up a very good game. From what I'm seeing the starters are trying a lot harder tonight on both ends of the floor, but still not going at it 100%. Going to take a little more time to get used this new offense and all playing together, but they already look better than the last few games.

i figure it might be like this:

steve nash princeton offence mastery: novice

maybe he (and the team) are trying to make sure they've got the system down, before relying on the free-form stuff that they can do in their sleep. i dunno...wishful thinking perhaps
