Not really sure why Toronto didn't try and foul at least once. I mean, 7 point hole with 50 seconds left, that is certainly not insurmountable, but it's over now.

Interesting fact: Shaq scored 11 in the 1st, and hasn't scored since. What's up with that?

Boston wins anyway. They look very sharp and focused this season.

Well, these 120 points will move us up in the scoring ranks a little.

I don't know why. Maybe because he tweets back to them. Yeah, he gets hate from some Laker fans.

actually its not hating...our entire starting unit didn't play much defense..we only got a gap thanks to the bench...

Bynum, Barns, Shannon and Blake all played great...the rest not so much even tho Gasol has solid stats..look at the +/- and everyone on the bench has a higher one than the starters...and you could see the bench playing focused and pushing the ball...starting unit wasn't inspired...the starting unit barely outscored the bench with many more minutes.

it worked against a terrible Toronto team without its best player. It won't work on many nights though..especially with the tough schedule ahead of us.

Needless to say, Bynum + Blake is a hellava better defensive combo than Fisher + Gasol.

In both the Toronto and Philly games, our bench was the most consistent defensively.

I wonder if there was anyone here doubting that. :man12:

I think we can be very solid defensively with the right rotation. Certainly Blake/Kobe or Artest/Barnes/LO/Bynum is a sick defensive lineup. Maybe the best in the league.

Is it? Toronto has to be one of the worst defensive teams int he league. We should have been able to score 120 on them in our sleep, and we were asleep for a good part of that game.

Regarding the end, it was puzzling. Kobe wasn't being frozen out, he just kept turning down the shot, and passing it to someone else. It seemed like he didn't want to make a play and was content on letting the rest do the work.

could've easily gone 6-0 on that road trip. had a 16 point lead in chicago.
loved the "scrilla" painting of ron
Can you guys do anything to free you up off of him or make some adjustments for next game?

people always say why does Walton force a pass?...seriously what esle can he do?

dribble? no
shoot? no
drive? no
play decoy? no
cut to the basket? no
play off the ball? no

seriously...if he doesn't pass the ball there are 2 alternatives.
a) airball
b) shot clock violation

and if he passes
a) pass is a TO
b) pass is useless
c) pass is an assist
