Sun. 1/20 - Lakers @ Raptors - Predictions & Comments

Timely basket by Kobe. It seems we can't score at all without him taking and hitting difficult shots. But then, we compensate for it by playing no defense.

Welp. I think I'm 'done'. I'll still watch games of course, but I've been fooled for the last time. This team is not going to 'turn a corner', they aren't going to 'steadily improve'. At best they will have an exceptional week or two where they win a couple games in a row, but it won't be indicative of anything changing, it'll just be the random hot point that any team is liable to get.

Even if they win this game, which seems very unlikely since they keep allowing uncontested layups and let Toronto blow open the lead faster than should even be physically possible. This team just doesn't have 'it'. I'll still watch games because I like watching Kobe play and Nash and Dwight have their moments, but other than that, I'm looking forward to forgetting this team was ever assembled.

That's how it typically goes, we're so great at team ball until the role players freeze up, especially on the road, then Kobe has to try and carry us and gets blamed for shooting too much. That and now he's asked to play tough d on great players all game, he's too old and something's gotta give, today it seems to be the shooting.

He doesnt HAVE to do that. I dont get why we would never need to rely on a strategy that doesnt win games. Stick with the gameplan... Its still early

That's alright, we'll stop them with our own suffocating D.

o I know, as long at they miss their dunks and layups we should be fine

Absolute embarrassed and pathetic, this is the Toronto Raptors guy, and they are toying with us.

LOL. I forgot what has Earl Clark done, can you look it up for me?

Well..and that warrants the heat Pau is getting in this thread when he's playing a really good game so far?

Does your TV only show the Lakers offense, you know there are two sides of the court right?

It's called defense.

Yes, and the Lakers as a team don't know how it's played. They were also 14 down when Dwight was on the court as well.

It never fails. Lakers play basement teams they seem to have a season high day and play over their heads and win. Some even have their career highs against this team. There is something about the Lakers logo that inspires these guys. Yet the wizard MDA has them come out like some pre season game slower than constipation, out hustled and turn over prone. This team is going nowhere.

just pathetic. if we played with any of the effort and smarts we did against the heat this would have been a blow out.

its just so pathetic. thats the only word i can think of. kobe obviously not shooting well but continues to do it instead of setting up others. nash not doing what he needs to do as a leader and look to score. defense in the paint and on pnr is just horrendous.

dantoni is probably still only gunna talk about offense in the post game

Alright then who was supposed to score with that lineup? Sacre? Clark? Jamison?

Umm because we are getting our butts handed to us maybe? Why wouldnt he be mad? I dont see why he should be indifferent just because he is a part of the problem. He is frustrated just like we are.
