Meh this doesn't really prove anything, one of the worst defensive teams in the league and if Kobe can't light them up then who can he? He needs to have a large stretch of good games to make me think anything will change.

Yes, this would seem a golden opportunity for Kobe rest. In other news, did you notice that Kobe got rest at the end of first and third? A total of about 70 seconds, but it's something.
