KARL MALONE HAS A SPRAINED RIGHT KNEE. HE WILL NOT RETURN TONIGHT AND IS LISTED AS DAY TO DAY.

Karl Malone has a SEVERE SPRAIN TO HIS RIGHT KNEE.

It could be anything from a sprain to a tear. Malone will have an MRI tomorrow.
