Don't count on Kobe playing as the chances are almost 0 %.

Kobe or not we have NO CHANCE USUALLY to win there but who knows. I think Odom Mihm and Cook will be pusked around by Sheed and Ben. We will get killed under the boards and Chucky against Billups :man4:
Hamilton go for a carrier high against Butler (at least 3 seconds quicker in 100 meter sprint) :bang: :bang: I say 96-78 for Detroit.

We can´t match with them.
Hamilton will burn Caron.
Billups will own Sucky.
Prince will neutralize JJ.
Odom will beat Sheed.
Ben will beat Mihm.
I think we have to play Grant against Wallace. He can keep Wallace away from the basket for stretches. But I really don´t see ANY chances.

OK - that's pessimistic prognosis. But we can suprise Pistons with Cook's crazy 3pt's, Luke's passes and with good team-work. Maybe tomorrow won't be Pistons day - maybe they'll miss wide-open shots, their passes will suck and Lakers will defeat them!

Absolutely right. I just try to be REALISTIC and rational but in any sport EVERYTHING is possible. I always hope we win and I ALWAYS have hopes we can win but to be realistic it doesn´t make sense to expect a win. Not this year.

I expect a loss but however I hope they somehow find away to upset them just keep hanging around.. I have a feeling that the Pistons will be in for a fight. I am not saying we will win but it wont be a blowout like we think. This is a interesting game

To bLaker fan is a funny thing. There is always drama :man1:
IRONIC:
Who would have guessed last June that the main story line for the first Pistons-Lakers rematch of the 2004-05 season would be Chucky Atkins' return to The Palace?

Who would have guessed Atkins would be the Lakers' starting point guard and most consistent player not Kobe?
:man10: :man10: Life´s a bleep.

Hmm...you're leading the good call, but I'm doing reasonably well. I have Pistons by 6 or 7. *wonders about your sources*

Our bigs should be able to keep up with a depleted Pistons front line. I think Lamar will have a decent offensive showing if he attacks Rasheed off the dribble. Ben Wallace is not a big time scorer, so Chris Mihm should be able to stay with him.

What really worries me is the matchup at the guard position. Both opposing guards are excellent scorers. I can't really see the Chuckster being able to stop either Rip or Chauncey

Team defense will obviously be the key.

The other issue is that Detroit is 3rd in opponents field goal percentage and second in opponents points allowed. Our offense has gone through long dry spells even against poor defensive teams like the Hawks, so this will be a real test.

However, against all odds, I feel like if we can come out firing and stay close early, we have a chance to take this one
