Kobe Bryant notched his fifth triple-double of the season, but it wasn't enough to keep the Lakers from losing 114-100 to the visiting Rockets on Thursday. Bryant tallied 19 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Caron Butler posted team highs of 24 points and 12 boards.

Did You Know?
With the loss to Pheonix, the Lakers were officially knocked out of the playoff race for the first time in 10 years?

- This is the fifth time the Lakers have missed the playoffs since moving to LA
- This is just the second time missing the playoffs since 1978

To me it was an entertaining season. Its fun to experience all bad luck and misery and still enjoy Laker basketball. Even losses are enjoyable. They hurt but just the fact the Lakers are playing gives me a good feeling.

Wow I am sorry i dont enjoy losing. It is a new experience for younger Laker fans. I seen this in 1994 I am not surprised. But I am sorry i cant except losing.. I seen worse and worse. But the way this team performed made me want to vomit

he may want to, but i'm going to bank on the assumption that the FO wants him to rest and not run the risk of getting injured...but then again we deal with mitch so hey anything is possible right?
