it's like he trying to give some credit to yao but instead saying "but at 7-7, he's just doing what he's supposed to do"...same works w. shaq, at 7-1 340lbs he's just doing what he's supposed to do, god for once just bite your tongue shaq and give a guy some true credit

nice comments by Shaq about Yao, obviously that Shaq-Yao matchup is highly anticipated, and I would expect BOTH Shaq and Yao to analyze each of their personal matchups...but I wouldn't get far too carried away with that, remember, Houston's perimeter shooters have been killing us lately. However, Francis and Mobley are both in their mini-slumps, and with our motivation to get win "10", and the fact that our D has been getting better, may just get us motivated for this one. For some reason Laker-Rockets matchups are more ever heated up than before.

I wouldn't just worry about Yao--I think that if Shaq can hold down Yao's passing ability we would be way better off--and we have got to fight through those screens to get a hand at those perimeter shooters--like Maurice Taylor. Mo has been killing us whenever he plays against us, and most of the time he gets open shots off penetrations and passes from Yao. We've got to make Yao GO to Shaq rather and then the case will be solved--fend off their perimeter players rather. I want to see what Yao can do--obviously he won't get very far with Shaq manning the paint.

I think Shaq may be taking the wrong approach on this one--he should seriously defend, make Yao intimidated, make the man pass--and we should be ready. Don't forget, we have that hassling Malone. Hopefully everyone's ready for this game tonight.
