That was toooooooooo close...but a win is a win. Tonight better have opened their eyes.. tomorrow is gonna be tough but they brought it upon themselves...

They had the confidence of knowing that they took us to 2 overtimes without Duncan and Parker.

Byron Russell SUCKS.......He can't make an open jumper and freakin missed a free throw late.

Yes tommorow is going to be extremly tough. Hopefully we'll slow it down more tommorow night and run the 2 man games between Malone/Payton & Shaq/Kobe. It always works when we do this...

I bet the Hornets were rootin for us to go into a 3rd OT too....

And whatever happened to our D.

Instead of playing defense, we practically fouled the Spurs in every possession.

We gave them too much opportunity in the line. We gave them too many points that way.

We better hope that Kobe can play the whole season and postseason, because what I see in this game he is desperately needed.

Compare the bench scoring people.. looks all too familiar.. so when threads come out about certain pathetic "benchers", please stop getting upset...

I don't want to be too judgemental on Malone, but what the heck is the Lakers giving him the ball for the final shots in the last minute of regulation and the first overtime. Do you guys remember when he missed those free throws in the NBA FINALS against the Bulls. Scottie Pippen told Malone that the "Mailman doesn't deliver in Sundays" and freakin missed the free throws.

And in this game he freakin air balled one shot and missed another.

Memo to Phil Jackson: Only Kobe should take the shot late in the game.

Our starters scored over 100 points... and what did our bench score??? Man... our bench needs to start knockin shots down, and not depend on D-Fish for bench scoring

I'm putting Byron Russell into the Laker doghouse along with active member Kareem Rush.

We would have blown out this team if the Lakers actually played DEFENSE and not foul in every possession.

I guess that's one thing Phil has to work on.

Ok...I'll stop being negative and be positive about this game.

One positive thing we can take is....that its good for the team to face a close game early.

Also, we can learn not to take a wounded team to lightly.
We should have blown out the Bucks and the Spurs.....but we became too over-confident. We can learn from this.

I had a feeling the Lakers would struggle with the Spurs. It happens in every sport when a team's best player goes down and the opponent unconsciously relaxes and thinks they are going to have an easy time of it. The Lakers could stand to play a little better defense. Oh, God Kareem Rush and Pargo are f'ing worthless. And Grant is the second coming of Samaki Walker with those butterfingers. If we beat New Orleans tomorrow, I'll be hella surprised. Everyone like that alley-oop Shaq threw to Kobe?

Did everyone realize we missed alot of free throws? We are shooting free throws horridly. If we knock those down, we win...

We get to the line enough for us to win... If we knock those down, then losing wont be a factor and wont be acceptable. If our whole team gets to the line more than 15 times, then that's like 30 points depending on if they're 2 shot fouls. We need those points, and we're makin like half of those...

Horrible Win but a win non the less.

Like LG2k3 said, FT made the difference. We make half of the FT's we miss, Lakers win in Regulation no problem.

Tonight is key. We need the bench to step up cause the starters are going to be tired.
