This team is really scary on paper when they're healthy.

Iverson/Bynum
Hamilton/Stuckey
Prince/Afflalo
McDyess/Maxiell
Wallace/Brown

Very impressive defense by starters. Very unimpressive game by the subs.

Could have been a blowout in 3rd.
Pau Gasol yesterday morning when asked about Dwight Howard: "I haven't called. Calls are expensive."

Kobe and Odom are both +27. That is really high efficiency!

Us winning was not in doubt at all. Those few guys are just trying to be as negative as possible.

He could at least try and draw the foul.
I mean, if he had just went up strong, there were 3 guys around him, the foul would've been called.

oh well. At least he got an offensive rebound.

Nice game, Kobe finally shot well tonight. 10 of 18.

I agree. But he lacks the footwork for that. I like his work ethics and energy, but he has no fundamentals, except that mid-range J. It is what it is. He should grab offensive rebound and pass the ball right away.

My Studs of the game:

Kobe...30 pts, 10/18, 8 rebs, 7 assists
Gasol...12 pts, 5/10, 11 rebs
Odom...12 pts, 11 rebs, 7 assists

My Duds of the game:

The Bench Slobs

A TOTAL of 15 points, 7 boards, and 2 assists.

A COMBINED FG% of 6/18...33%

Slobs indeed.
No fan can tell another fan how he/she is supposed to respond to a game. Thats not another fan's job. If I feel like the Lakers are playing or played like crap then thats just MY feeling. I'm highly critical of our team's defense (thats just me) but I'm sure I'm not the only one that cringes at our defense. For someone to try to tell me how to react to a game...well...thats just plain silly.

And he played very well on defense too. Would love to see that happen more often.

Huh? Kobe has been playing great D these past few games. Even the OKC announcers said that the last games. He's had over 4 steals the past couple of games.

I know. I meant he played well BOTH offensively AND defensively tonight.

Kobe almost always plays defense. Its not his fault that trash like Walton and Vujacic suck on defense and he has to pick up the slack.

Kobe is a top notch defender.

That's not scary and I want the top pick, damnnit!
With expectation comes responsibility. Respect is earned. When opportunity arises, preparation will calm nerves, inspire confidence, and help you to realize the moment. Where there is failure is a blueprint of how to improve. To fail to learn, even with talent, makes you ordinary. To learn from all experiences is to learn to become the best.
