I'm going to repost what I said in the thread in LD about this game below.

Now that we've beaten the Hawks, it's time to focus on the super-team from South Beach. Since they super-suck right now after having lost 5 in a row, they'll play us like this is a Finals elimination game. We'll need to bring it like we did on Sunday and then some, since the crowd, the team, the refs, and the fact this is on ESPN will all work against us. Now is not the time for a let-down. We're still fighting for #2 in the West, and we can't afford to slip up now. Let's have some fun and beat LeBron, Wade, Bosh, and the rest of them Cheats, and avenge our Christmas Day loss in the process. I want us to make them cry. I hear they're pretty good at it.

I posted in another thread that Bynumite is key to the game whether he gets into foul trouble or not, whether he gets calls or not, etc etc etc. I say the Lakers win easily, double digits. Everything is clicking and they are looking for a hungry Heat team. Kobe always looks for challenges and he knows they will have one on Thursday. What I want to know is how many pages will this thread go... 27 on Christmas.

again, no predictions from me. i just want the lakers to come out and play with the same desire and intensity they have been showing these past games.

Andrew's gonna be the difference and I expect Ron to play some lockdown defense. The mamba will close this one out

I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little worried about this game. For some reason, good teams on losing streaks always scare me.

Bynum has been playing 10 times better since Christmas, Bynum/Gasol should have a field day. Kobe shouldn't be a factor in this game, Because of the lack of size inside

Artest + Bynum playing D = win.

As a transplant to Florida ( I'm a native angelino ,) I have two opportunities a year plus potential finals I'll be at the game tomorrow in Forum Blue and Gold.

You never know what we're going to get out of the cHeat. Tomorrow could be the last straw that breaks their back, or they can come out lashing. I think Chalmers is their key.

In any event, I think the Lakers will sustain leads between 15-5 pts throughout the game and have the jello
jiggling just before the final two minutes or even a couple minutes earlier. As it's noy June yet, it really doesn't matter.

My hope is they put on the hurt like SAT did over a week ago.

I mainly reside just outside of Orlando, but I got a small flat near Downtown Miami. Been to a few cHeat games this year. The last time was to support LA's "B" team. During the game, my usherette started beating her chest and ranting about " Lakers Suck ! ". Even though we were hitting the skid at that time, I was confident enough to seek her out and ask for clarification. Tomorrow I got seats in section 124 but I'm going to pay a special visit to section 311 and continue our conversation. Our encounter was captured on video.


LA will be in the House tomorrow ! Maybe she'll be forced to kiss my Laker crocs.

The Heat are too desperate and it's too good of a "story" for them to beat us. I see lots of foul trouble and FTs...

i am so anxious for this game its not even funny. i can't concentrate on my work. i almost want to say i'm sick so i can go home early to watch the game.

I don't think it really is a big game. We most likely wouldn't see them in the Finals this year, they pretty much suck right now so beating them doesn't mean much, and if they do win you can chalk it up to them NEEDING a win and wanting to beat us more than anyone because Wade and LeBron are clearly jealous of Kobe. To me SA and Boston are big games, this is hype.

Yeah. I think that thread should be merged with this one. I guess some people couldn't wait to post about it, or didn't know about the Gameday section of CL.
