Nice finish. I like to see that there was finally a spark. And LA blew out Miami in this fourth quarter.

we went through the lockout and watch them complain about millions and billions of dollars to see this pathetic display.

The good news is if we play with some effort tomorrow I do believe we will beat the Magic.

This was the Clippers game all over again. Lakers dug themselves into too deep a hole and couldn't climb out of it. What annoys me more than anything else is that if they did in the first half some of the things they did in the 4th quarter offensively, they'd have had a shot at winning this game. Bryant needs to stop worry about padding his stats and start looking for ways to set up his teammates.

This team will continue to be average until they wake up and acknowledge the fact that they need a capable starting PG on this team.

On the bright side I'm now 4-0 on my predictions dating back to the Cavs game. I have tomorrows game as a W but now I'm not too sure. Orlando has been playing well.

But it was the complete opposite in the Dallas game.

I think it's hilarious how so many folks accuse the FO of "being cheap" as if the Lakers don't already have the highest payroll in the league. If it makes those folks so mad, why don't they scream at Kobe to give back some of that $90m he's owed? lol

maybe by not giving up lamar for nothing - the reigning 6th man of the year. by not signing Kapono. By never signing Luke. By taking a chance on sparks for the bench like Nate or Gilbert, and not playing second round scrubs heavy minutes. :man12:

Usually after games like this, I get a little hope that the FO will finally address the elephant in the room and do something about it. But after seeing them still do nothing after last year, idk what to think anymore.

We're contenders.... We have yet to have the full team healthy or together for more than 2 games. We just had our first 2 day break of the season and the schedule will slow down from here on out. We have a completely new offense as well.

I can't help but think that the front office is going to get a guard to help..

Some people can't process all this. We had so much continuity with PJ-Kobe-triangle for years. This is a completely different year in terms of that aspect. It would be more surprising if we came out and were consistent and good as opposed to struggling and being inconsistent.

At least with the triangle the Lakers had a system. I don't know what they have now. It's hard to see what they are playing.

I agree with his post. Not Kobe bashing. Just saying that when he wasn't focused on getting 30 or 40, setting up Bynum, Gasol, Fish and Murph came easty to him. He could average 10 assists, and give his role players great energy on the defensive end by doing so.

Just a thought: if you knew going in that Barnes was going to spend a ton of energy covering James, why not put Kobe at PG, add a shooter to the starting lineup, and try to make up for Barnes's (likely) inability to do much on O?

Some bad turnovers by Kobe....but even with those, the offense ran so much better through him.

Making Kobe the point guard....can work. The bigs will have easy shots. Whether it's Drew with clean lanes to the hoop, Pau with an easy hook, or Murphy wide open on the PnP.

Why they weren't running that to begin with bugs me.

Some of his shots just make me wonder sometimes. I mean I get him taking a few here and there to keep the defense honest, but you have to wonder after the sixth or seventh one doesn't go down if maybe it's time to you know, SWITCH IT UP A BIT? Post up, get into the lane, use a pick, just do something other than stand there and take a contested three or long two. I gotta say, as much as everyone probably wanted to laugh at LeBron for dishing to Battier for the corner three when Bryant was up in his face, James made the correct decision. We all know what Kobe would have done, and if his tough shot would have gone down he'd have been heralded for it, but when the tough ones don't fall, you have to take the criticism that comes with making those kinds of decisions. Bryant wants to win, but he wants to win HIS WAY, and as spectacular as that is to watch when LA wins, it's just downright dreadful when he can't get his shot to fall. Until he gets some help out back, he needs to focus on doing more to get his teammates easy looks.

this loss espicially how is not to accept. it is a shame . this loss was humiliating in so many ways . that the score at the end was a loss by 11 for this we have to thank miami because they were a little careless with such a big lead. we have no true point guard as sad as it is i have to say any quick point guard in this league can breake lakers defense down with penetration without any difficulties . agtainst really good teams with qick püoint guards we can t not defend or win so far.and as drew went out with 2 fouls early it changed the whole game , kobe had a off night . so 2 of the 3 big scorers weren t there and we had no chance from then. second unit can t score and the 3 point shooting is close to a shame. hopefully lakers will come back tommorrow. but i have my doubts . i will never give up this team but with this effort we wouldn t win anything, one more point 1 and 5 on the road is absolutely crap and that has to change also, by the way if there is any chance to make a move then do it mitch it is time right now. i am sick and tired of these losses without any fight or passion.

He shot 8 times in the first half. Only James had more assists than he did (1 more). He had two TOs in the game. And then in the second half, he shot 7-13, scored 18 points. Kobe wasn't the problem offensively.
