Ahhh the good ol' close out game. Kobe will come out strong after seeing what he did tonight.

Lakers have been a solid closeout team in the past few years. They need to come out strong though, we come out pretty weak and it costs us even more energy later to close the gap.

We did it every time the past 2 years, I have to believe we'll keep doing it until ... well until we don't. We've closed out series on the road too, that's why I know we can do it and I think we will in another close one.

Win, fly home from New Orleans ASAP, and hope the Blazers-Mavs series goes the full seven games.

It will be a close one, with the Lakers winning in the end. Solid defense and the killer B's will determine the outcome. Look for the Hornets to play "desperate" ball again, hopefully from behind a Lakers lead. Solid defense will keep them at bay and if the killer B's don't play emotionally drunk, we'll be okay.

I really want the Lakers to blow them out early and not let up....If we win Thurs, we are off til game 1 of the next round on Monday. Thats 3 full days of rest, so get it done!

Here's my dilemma for tonight. I've been a faithful fan all my life. But this year I've seen quality of team character that really makes me sick. You all know what I mean. The fact that inferior teams can play the Lakers and make them their sex puppy infuriates me to no end. Tonight I want to believe that Kobe is in closer mode having gotten over the hump in the last game and will do a game 6 number on NOH. My gut says I really don't know what team is showing up tonight. I thought we were done with this season long crap after the big win streak following the break. Not so. Do they like playing with fire to keep themselves motivated? We shall see. If they go 7 games with this gutty team they will get their wish. Right now it's 75% chance for a win and close out tonight...

The key is to play D from the get go ... please don't let Ariza get another quick start, same thing for Paul ...

The backcourt needs to get the ball rolling, the starters and the bench. Kobe, Fish, Blake, and Brown need to get easy (within the offense) scores, when they start jacking up crap, that's when they have to start playing from behind. The frontcourt is gonna get theirs, but it'll be important how good the backcourt plays tonight.
